I might be mistaken, but I’d heard Bret was planning to be more physical than he was during the Vince match, but somehow the Lloyd’s policy prompted them to abandon that plan, and that was largely why we got the match we did get, which I still think is a miracle considering Bret is a stroke victim, and at that time had a knee replacement (and was on his way toward needing another).

When you remember a guy's first stint in WWE a whole lot more/better than his second or third one, that alone tells you right there that they should've never returned to begin with.

Honestly the worst thing to come out of Warrior's return was the revisionist history whitewash of him as a person. Suddenly WWE is proud of the Warrior and what he "stood for", conveniently leaving out that what he stood for was bigotry, homophobia and generally just being an unapologetically awful person. I've never heard one positive shoot about him and countless negative ones, not to mention the video and audio out there of some of the horrible things he said (see: "Queering doesn't make the world work") It makes the Warrior award, and Dana Warrior's inclusion in the wrestling world, infuriating to me. Because the Warrior award is a nice thing, done for pr, but still a nice thing. The fact that it is tied to someone who embodied all the traits opposite to what they claim it is about and the fact that his crone of a wife (who I'm fairly sure was just as much of a religious nutjob as he was) with no history in or knowledge of wrestling is a presenter of it and I think even a writer for WWE tv(?) is unbelievable. Not to mention, on top of all of that, he was just a truly awful wrestler who got over through Vince Mcmahon promotional magic, steroids and very good entrance music, not through any of his own personal talent. I much prefer the era of the "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" dvd.
@SRPC212 жыл бұрын
Mr Perfect in 2002 looked great and was still athletic. I blame the WWE for basically using him as a jobber as soon as the Royal Rumble was over. He’d lose basically all matches on Heat (apart from against a rookie Brock Lesnar ironically). They should’ve given him a part time legends contract instead. I think he could’ve had great bouts against Jericho/Angle/Flair.
