The biggest "Ah ha moment" that I had from watching your videos is the idea of a closet full of compromises. I'm trying to build a wardrobe of items I feel great in and not be stuck shopping at the last moment. Thanks for all of the great advice!

I love the blazer outfit. I agree with the pajamas concept. I am looking for some pajamas I really like.

What did YOU learn about style in 2023? Let's discuss our a-ha moments in the comments!

You are so right about Quince. I just stumbled on them and am very impressed with their stretch silk pieces. Fit, color, fabric, very impressive. Amazing prices. A new favorite brand. And my standards are high.

Totally agree with you concerning buying cheap stuff, instead buy quality that will last. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 🎉❤

I really like the athletic dresses. I hike every day that I can, and they are fabulous in the warmer months. I agree with you on underwire bras, I’m a 32E and I will go “off reservation” with wireless bras occasionally, it’s so relaxing. Everything you have pointed out is so important at once we hit a certain age.

This is a good topic to cover. I feel like I have learned to take more risks in style than before because of what you taught me. Try everything! That's how I encourage myself to try on the things I have already talked myself out of trying on.

Thanks for this video Nada! Well done as usual! May the peace of Christ be with you in 2024.

I’m not sure WHY I save my nice clothes for special occasions. There aren’t many special occasions for me so why wouldn’t I just use my nice things whenever I want? Thank you for addressing the issue and I’m going to make an effort to wear nice things a lot more in 2024. Thank you!❤

Really loved this video Nada❤though I did chuckle at the one about the weather…living in the UK that is literally the one thing we always think about😃We prepare for all eventualities almost daily!

One thing I would love to do with confidence is to wear hats as part of my outfits. Maybe a resolution for 2024! I’ve got classic coats and jackets, but always end us wearing hooded jackets in the (constant) rain here in Scotland.

Hats are some thing I also rediscovered a couple of years ago, and I just love them. They can make a simple outfit a lot more stylish. And like you said they’re great for the rain which we also have here in Florida. Definitely give them a try in 2024!

I'am short and small boned, and the sport shoes are only for working out. Though I found some white platform puma sneakers and love them with jeans and maxi length dresses. My ankles are small so a skirt can cut my legs stragely. Shorts that are close in colour to my natural skin colour can work. I am branching out and seeing what works.

My friends buy beautiful clothes but they won’t wear them at home. I’m trying to convince them that it really is okay to look nice just for yourself!

I think that we American women have too many things in our closet at any given time. I know that I am guilty of thinking that I always need something new for an event. I have French relatives who have small, carefully chosen wardrobes. Most of their clothes need hand washing. Most are things that can mix and match to change the look. Accessories are key. I notice that while they don’t have a lot of clothes, they are always current and stylish. I think that keeping their wardrobes small and only buying nice things is what allows French women to always be able to keep on top of fashion. They don’t just buy one more of what they already have; they wait to buy something that it is new in fashion and not just new in their closet.

Loved your realization the the big sneaker look was maybe just not what you liked best on yourself. That is me as well. My other ah ha moment was at 69 i still feel best when i wear shoes with a heel or platform shoes. At 5'4" and 1/2, i feel more put together with a touch of height. Great video. ❤️ ❤❤

Please encourage the brands you deal with to make petites. I just picked up alterations yesterday at the tune of $135. I have that much more to pick up again. The most important things to me are fit and quality. I would rather buy quality preloved clothing than new junk. My style barely had changed over the years. I’m basically a casual type person except when I’m showing dogs. Then I’m very tailored and a specific style that’s mine. Shoes are such a problem because of my foot issues. I’ve been extremely unhappy to find that shoe makers are now manufacturing shoes that decompose after a few years. I’ve had my shoes drop chunks as I went to leave the house. I understand about the landfill issue, but I take care of my things and don’t expect them to fall apart. I think you should try joggers rather than leggings. I think you would like the look.

I am terrible with being proactive instead of reactive with my presentation!! I have been working on this for quite a while and still going through it 😬

You spoke to me when you said....don't keep your clothes as good clothes & wear around the house clothes! Recently I put a top on & I felt it was outdated....why hadn't I wore it when I wanted to around the house & felt pretty in it🤬

I am just looking at the pants you were wearing with the camel coat. Who is the vendor? I keep looking for pleats turned in, instead of out. Camouflages a less than flat stomach well, while pleats facing outward emphasize your stomach. This fact seems not well known. Please let menknow

I had a co worker that wore beautiful clothes to work. We were hair stylists. She wore a new pair of baby blue suede pants to work and got color on them the first time she wore them!! $200 pants ruined in one wearing!! So sad!!

Wearing sneakers with skirt looks different on a very petite person like you than on a tall or heavier framed person. No wonder you avoided it.
@veronicacarmody11510 ай бұрын
Another point I will add, I’m done with the oversized everything. You discussed fit, right now that huge oversized fit doesn’t work for anyone in our age group. It’s unflattering at least and adds weight to everyone, no matter the age. I’m not a scarecrow anymore.
