I completely agree! Italian progressive rock from the 70s is truly remarkable and had a significant impact on the music scene. Italy produced many amazing bands in that genre. What’s your favorite Italian prog band?

I notice all these bands come out of the VHS tape days and before. For a more modern take on an awesome Italian Prog Rock band.. "Julie's Haircut".. is 30 years young this year. Among their extensive catalogue the album "Ashram Equinox" deserves considerable mention. The 2014 peformance of that album in Parma can be found on KZbin.. an audio and visual feast. Well worth the 50 minutes viewing.
