Here's a list of my favorite underrated creepy psychological -and mostly paranormal- horror movies: The Borderlands (2013) Lake Mungo (2008) Aterrados (Terrified) (2017 Argentina) The Demonic Tapes (2017) The Witch in the Window (2018) The Dead Room (2015) Uninhabited (2010) The Burrowers (2008) Fairytale aka The Haunting of Helena (2012) KM 31: Kilometre 31 (2006 Spain) ' The Abandoned (2006) I hope I haven't repeated too many from your previous lists, but I think they deserve some love. Some of these movies (like "The Borderlands") scare me so badly that I can't watch them alone, and even that doesn't always help! I have quite a few more, but I didn't want to make my list too long... and don't even get me started on Asian horror, or the list would never end. Hope you find some gems in here!

I didn't care much for the the neflix version of The Innocents and consider the 60's movie far superior, not because it was badly done, but I just didn't like any of the characters though some of the performances were good, especially the kids, even though those too in the original movie were better. This contrary to the first season, which was a reintepretation of The Haunting (of Hill House) and considered extremely well done and very worthy compared to the classic masterpiece which is the original movie The Haunting, still unparallelled in my mind in the haunted house genre. The only other one I have seen from this list is Coherence, more by accident than conscious decision and it was ok-ish, but in the end a typical example of a great premise unimaginatively executed. Oh wait, I forgot The Tenant, brilliant, if depressing, movie both starred as well as directed by Roman Polanski, yeah, that Roman Polanski.

Session 9 was filmed in a real asylum in Danvers MA. It took crews two weeks of clean up before the shoot. Its since burned down during renovating it into condos

Did you know that in Magic, Anthony Hopkins actually learned how to throw his voice? He is actually doing the voice for the dummy the whole movie! No voiceover!

The Tenant is directed by and stars Roman Polanski, who is responsible for two other great works of psychological horror (Rosemary's Baby and Repulsion).

I saw Magic a long time ago and it is creepy as hell!! I've also seen The Innocents. Debra Kerr was such a beautiful woman and a great actress. Creepy film, too.

Hilarious how you discussed The Tenant without once mentioning Roman Polanski! (is it not allowed to even mention his name now?) Seeing as he was both the main actor and directed it! Check out the other two films in his apartment trilogy- Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby- both sublime psychological horrors. Decent list- glad Coherence and The Innocents are on it. Try She Dies Tomorrow for a bang up to date gem and for Magic, watch the dummy section of Dead Of Night (1945)- the ultimate dummy psychological horror.

The best version of the Hill House story is The Haunting (1963) A subtle film that leaves you wondering if any of it was real, or just rampant imagination.

"Look away" (2018). I think you could call it a psychological horror movie. I've never heard somebody talk about it but I thought it was really good. Its about a bullied girl.
