Pappy_QC is a speedrunner who tries to spread the word about an underrated PC game called Captain Claw and he is doing so by livestreaming the game regularly on Twitch and uploading the highlights on his KZbin channel. Claw (often referred to as Captain Claw) is a challenging 2D side-scroller platformer made by Monolith Productions in 1997. While it's an abandonware, it always had a dedicated fansite called The Claw Recluse that still keeps the game alive even today. As for the numbers, he has like 400 subscribers on KZbin and 600 followers on Twitch.

I love this series. If you don´t know him yet I highly recommend to take a look at Sean Seanson, he currently sits at 1.21k subscribers and he talks exclusively about PS1 games. His 2 main series are based around discovering more unknown games from both the US PS1 Library and the games that stayed Japan exclusive. The games for each episode are chosen randomly by spinning a virtual wheel. Plus the production value of his videos is really good considering the small subscriber base.

Great, as if my youtube feed wasn't already overwhelming enough xD Just kidding ;) I think it's so cool of you to be doing these shoutouts to the small-timers. I tell ya, when you are a small youtube channel, each of those little sub notifications can make your whole day. I used to do video game reviews way back in the early youtube days. I actually believe I was the first Danish youtube to do so.. Certainly when it came to doing them on a somewhat regular basis. It can take a lot out of you though, especially when you decide on doing them in your native language when there are barely 5 million people living here. I know I could easily just have opted to do it in English but there were already so many people doing that and I wanted my content to have a bit of a more homey feel to them. What really burnt me out was how I always felt I couldn't just sit down and play something casually as that would be a waste of time if you weren't recording. But when capturing footage, you play differently than if you were just playing casually as you have to make the action look interesting and also don't want to waste too much storage just by looking around every corner in a game. I admire all content creators for being able to keep pushing out so much content. Maybe I'll get back into it someday, who knows xD
@Jenovi3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this comment. If you enjoyed it, I recommend you start up again. Do it for yourself. You'll make connections. I can fully understand the point about capturing footage too. It's important to find a semblance of balance when doing this.
