Thank you so much for the helpful tips today, Noreen! My tip would be - when I need to remember an errand I write it on a little strip of paper about 1" x 6" - 7" and staple the strip in a loop onto my purse strap. That way I HAVE to see it when I am out. I, too, love "a place for everything and everything in its place" BUT many times the place I choose already has something in it - and not something that should be there! I'm working hard at putting "likes with likes" so hopefully there will come a day that the place I choose will be vacant!! Have a happy today!

Some very good tips & suggestions! I wanted to mention that when I want to do some Amazon shopping, I always begin by opening your web page, and then open your "tips & freebies" page, and click on an item -- you have so many neat ones! -- Then from there, I do my Amazon shopping & purchases, whether or not I purchased the item on your page, knowing that you'll accrue whatever infinitesimal commission on that purchase. Every little bit helps, right? Thanks for all you're doing, I find your spirit quite uplifting.

I think saying out loud that you've turned off the stove or the oven, etc is a really good idea! Same with remembering people's names that you just met.....I will say.....nice to meet you Betty. I use the bag method to remind me of various errands. My biggest problem is taking off my glasses and forget where I left them. I have trained myself to leave them in the same four places: kitchen counter, coffee table, on bathroom sink or my dressing table.then I just have to think what was I doing and retrace my steps. Haha this is great! I often think I’m alone in this never ending battle. So glad to hear and now read there are so many of us struggling to remember things. I recently bought 6 pairs of cheaters because I was so tired of searching for them. I also keep my prescription sunglasses in the car so when I forget my glasses (which is way too many times) I at least will have them so I can see while I’m driving. I have more than once been driving with sunglasses at night but it’s better than not being able to see at all. Today I am getting a new pair of glasses so my plan is to leave my old pair in the car so now I’ll have options when I forget!

This was fun, made me feel good that I already do most of those things!! One thing I’ve started doing, use the alarms on your phone! On mine you can type in what the alarm is for and set it for once “empty the dishwasher” or daily “sort mail’ or weekly “get gas in car”. Now if you can’t do that thing in the moment, just reset the timer. I just love it, let’s me worry less that I forgot something. Also really loved the throwing pillow idea, gonna pass that one along to family 😁. Thanks again, so enjoy your videos 💚

LOVED the tip of the hair thingy around the phone! I'm always forgetting to un-silence mine! I used to be bad about forgetting where my car keys were. And if I was carrying other things, I'd sometimes actually forget to grab my purse. Then I bought a little plastic clip, hooked my keys to one end, and I clip the other end to the strap ring on my purse. That little clip solved both problems! I always know where my keys are and I no longer forget my purse either! I use sticky notes a lot too, to remind me if I have to take something that I can't just set out (food). I stick it on the front door so I'll see it when I leave. Thanks for another great video!

My front door is metal, so I put a magnetic clip on it to clip outgoing letters, or reminders to myself! Very good tips! But now I have that Adam Sandler song in my head!
Genius ideas.... I learned a few of these working memory care clients and family members. I get so busy I forget things too so I have Incorporated some of them into my own life. The hair tie on the cell phone is a great idea. I always remember a face but I have difficulty with names. I usually say I'm sorry what's your name and when they tell me their name say oh I know that was your first name I just was trying to remember your last name. That way the person isn't defended and they tell you their name. 🤗🐞🥰

I hide all kinds of things in them!!!! LOL Lets see... paint brushes in one, my Cricut vinyl in another, Sticker labels, paper pads, page protectors....... you name it! I have 12 of them, and basically use them as upright boxes!

These are some really great tips! LOVE the hair band on phone tip...always forgetting to turn it back on. I keep a tiny spiral notebook on my nightstand or a post it note pad and a pen with a battery operated tiny light (like the kind for reading menus (when we went to restaurants...) I jot my note, thought, etc. and go back to sleep. When we were both working, I typed a note for the garage door, where we exit, that said: car keys, phone, lunch. It was at eye level, so we never forgot those things. B. Sims

Oh, Norrine! If I could just remember to make a shopping list :/ I'd remember the shopping bags. The hubs is in charge of the big Costco shopping bags so they're always in the car but I always forget to grab the others. Say, do you think the folks in Walmart or Home Depot would look at me funny if I just used the Costco bags there, too?

Post-its. So many post-its. I put them on the inside of my front door to remind me what I need for the day - I keep my "today todo" list stuck to my monitor - and random thoughts and ideas go on the walls. Sometimes the trouble is, which post-it is where? I also have the worry of "did I lock the front door", so before I leave I rap sharply on the door. An unlocked door would have swung open, and now the sensation in my knuckles will stick with me throughout the day.

Our auto-pilot mode is so amazing! Sometimes it makes it hard to know what we have or have not done! Your door knock idea is a smart one!
