@@patriciaduplinsky7844Duplinsky there is one original story the snow queen by Hans, the others after that are adaptations "inspired", that being said, according to what I can understand both Frozen and Snow Queen are different interpretations of the same story. That is what makes them both unique. Similarly to any Disney film ever, and then Once Upon a Time's versions of the same characters :) Just because it is based off the same thing, doesn't make it copies or rip-offs :(

I have to admit that "The Snow Queen" is not really a rip of from "Frozen". The story is completely different, but is based on the same story. In our school, we did the musical The Snow Queen. In that story, the Snow Queen really is the villain, how kidnaps a boy that accidentally gets a shard of her magic mirror in his eye. His best friend (I played her XD) goes to rescue him. It's completely different, but based on the same story, so I don't really think it's a ripoff. Maybe they didn't even know Disney based it off that story, or didn't even know they were doing that movie? Or they were planning on doing it before? Both stories are really wonderful, although I must say Disney did a better job at animating it.

I don't understand why do people compare the snow Queen and Frozen. Disney specifically said that they were simply *inspired* by the snow Queen. They didn't want to make the *remake* of it. The snow Queen is the remake. I probably think that Disney just couldn't figure out what superpower they should give to Elsa so they just gave her snow powers.

Kiara the Brave was released earlier (2011 vs 2012), so was Snow Queen (2012 vs 2013). Also, Snow Queen's plot is completely different. "Kiara the Brave" was released on the 11th of November 2011 (in India) and on the 19th of June 2012 (in the United States). The earliest "Brave" was released was on the 10th of June 2012 at a Seattle International Film Festival while its first teaser was released on June 27, 2011. Did you mean it was marketed for people who wanted to see "Brave" to watch by changing its title in the US--as you said, the plot isn't very similar? Also, "Snow Queen" came out at least 10 months earlier than Frozen (its earliest release was on the 31st of December 2012 while Frozen's earliest (at a film festival) was on the 10th of November 2013) and has a very different plot (for example, Frozen was originally pitched more as the origin story to the Snow Queen while the Snow Queen, the movie, is more inline with the plot of the original source material)
