Darling! What wonderful advice all around - not just for renters! I put cordless, rechargeable flat lights in my unlit linen, hall and small storage closets before putting our house on the market - and they are such a MASSIVE luxury upgrade that I’m annoyed I didn’t do it years ago so I could enjoy my efforts! They sit in a bracket held up by 3M pressure tape so you can take them down, plug them in to recharge and hang them up again - easy-peasy! 💖

Hi from Tuskegee. You have a really helpful channel and it's nice to see that others do some of the same upgrades to rentals. I changed out my shower head years ago for a luxury one that I bought from Sam's with a waterfall, a spa mister, a massage and a wave pulsar feature with 3 other normal settings. The light fixture globes as well get replaced. As far as painting, they paint every 2 years or I can request to get the paint from them and freshen it up. I have been using toilet bowl cleaner for decades because it not only cleans grout but it is very effective in the tub with texture and tiled walls of a shower. I've placed lights under cabinets before but I'm about to get the ones that go in the hinges. They come on when you open the cabinets. Also, changing the light switch is and plug cover iis a good one f you want different colors. I just keep a storage box or bin for everything that came with apartment to put it all back when I'm ready to leave. The built ins I believe I will try soon. Thanks for sharing.💕

Thank you for all your great advice, I love your channel because it really gives me ways to just give it a try, instead of being scared...I’m really starting to get tired of all these dollar store diys because it seems like all repeats, don’t get me wrong I love dollar store diys but nowadays It just seems every one tries to out do the other person, and it’s really not beginner friendly I would have to go back a few years ago to watch easier ones, but you are so different and very refreshing to watch, and you are very beautiful.. another thing you should review is using a fabric you like and liquid starch to hang it on a wall to make it into a accent wall or to transform a space.
@lindathompson39822 жыл бұрын
Yes! I have a cinderblock 3-room workshop & I used liquid starch to put grasscloth on walls that weren't by doors that opened to the outside...with cinderblock & unheated/no A.C. situation, it was reasonable that this might matter. That's been at least 15 yrs ago, & the liquid-starched Grasscloth is still secure! I also, in another house, used liq. starch to put patterened sheets on bdrm walls; did great! Amazing how pretty & easy!

Showerhead is easiest, quickest, and first thing I do. I need the extension for getting targeted spots as well as cleaning the shower.
