I need to know about falling. What happens on my watch. What I need to do. Thanks.
@EllensTipsForiOS2 ай бұрын
When you fall the watch will call emergency services if there is no response from you within a certain timeframe and it has cellular or when your iPhone is within close proximity. If you aren’t hurt you just need to cancel the call on your watch.

What a helpful video as usual. I did not know about automatic app install so I turned that off. Also, I like using the tip calculator and how you can add # of people to share the bill. I like the record function. I would have never thought to use my watch this way. Thanks

@@EllensTipsForiOSHere is my story with my Apple Watch. Fell on a narrow stone path in my yard as I was trying to navigate without stepping on my plants. Fell flat on my back, head hit paver wound up with a concussion. Watch went off (fall detected) and gave me choices on what to do including calling 911. I felt I was pretty much ok so didn’t want 911, but I was afraid to get up because I didn’t know if I had broke something. My hubby was down in the basement taking pictures with my phone so I used my watch to call him to help me. I was so glad to have my watch on! Thanks for all you do Ellen!

Awesome teaching. Planning on purchasing on just have to decide which one. I have a very slim or small wrist, any suggestions?
@EllensTipsForiOS2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy! Thanks for the kind words. Great decision! You won’t be disappointed. The new Apple Watch will be out soon. I have a very small wrist as well. Go with the smaller size which right now is 40mm. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles the Watch SE is very affordable. If you want it all the Regular Apple Watch is the way to go. Check out the featuring Apples site to make your decision.

OMG! This is just what I needed! I got my watch as a retirement gift and I have mostly been playing around with the faces. Thank you so much for your clear explanations. I guess my favorites include the emergency call, turning off automatic app install, and how to view the apps (grid or line).

I wonder why you didn’t also explain that you can choose watch faces from the iPhone Watch app which is much easier? Also adding and placing Complications is a breeze on the iPhone Watch app.

@@EllensTipsForiOS You’re still one of the best sources of clear, concise information on KZbin. I also love that you provide time stamps and a transcript for your videos. It makes it so much easier to work my way through the more challenging features you explain. Thank you for what you do from this 77 year old!

Love these videos❗ I'm learning some cool stuff. I gave my mother-in-law the link to the channel. She is struggling with her Apple Watch and emergency services. We practiced using the watch to say "Siri call _____" to call someone, I think she has that down. What about the other emergency/help services? I saw an Ellen video about Emergency SOS, I think she has that process down also. And also the fall detection one, that was great kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipjMapqJbtuHq9E. What about one video to put it all together (if you need an idea for a video?) "Communicating on your Apple Watch". Making a non-emergency call using voice or tapping, Making an emergency call/contacting 911 using voice or using the side button, quick response to a text using voice or tapping, And the one I would love to see... creating a watch face complication that runs a shortcut to call a specific person. (I think that one would require a tap and another tap, once it is setup) Thanks Again 🤜🤛
