13:23 "It kinda had a pretty bad odor." - I know you've tested as seen on tv products for cleaning and odor removal - but off the shelf hydrogen peroxide will remove pretty much any odor by killing the bacteria which causes it. Anything short of skunk spray or the stench of death, those smells are fatty acid based and need to be neutralized with mild acids like citric acids. Don't ask how I know such a thing - I've had a lot of horrible jobs in my life and you don't want details.

Can someone please tell me why you would want to use rubber rings? I can't see a single reason for these to exist.
@annek12265 жыл бұрын
Ok, while you might see the need, let me attempt a few scenarios for you! Some people who work around machinery would find them a safety item. If they got their hands and or fingers caught while wearing a traditional ring could find themselves with serious injuries if not suffering the loss of a finger due to such injury! The silicone ring avoids that scenario! If one works with liquids and or oils with traditional rings could actually have these come off and suffer the loss of jewelry. Losing a silicone ring is less traumatic! Some people simply do not enjoy wearing expensive jewelry on anything but special occasions! This then gives them an alternative! Others are simply prone to losing anything not secured and again this gives them choices! You may not fit any of these scenarios and in that case, do not get one! But there are many people out there for whom this is a great option! Hope that helps! Please have a great day!
@blahorgaslisk77635 жыл бұрын
@@annek1226 Well I guess I'm totally clueless. Any ring I don't want damaged will stay in the drawer, and if I'm working on something where a traditional ring could pose a danger then I just won't wear a ring. Face it, even one of these rubber rings could be dangerous in situations like this. Same with any other jewelry such as earrings, necklaces or anything else that could catch or short circuit something, those do not get anywhere near my workspace when working on machines or electrical equipment. And if I have long hair it goes into a cap. Heck I've even used a cap to keep my beard out of things when I was into having a long beard. Loose fitting clothes is something else that can cost you your life if you're unlucky. This is something that I got drummed into me from an early age. I've also worked with a man who amputated his finger by short circuiting the 12V rail (or was it 48V? So many years ago now) in a mainframe with his wedingband. Said it melted the gold and burned all the way into the bone. So no thank you. No rings for me, not even rubber.

@@blahorgaslisk7763 I used to switch out my wedding band for a rubber one my hubby bought for me when going to work in the back room of a store because we were robbed at gunpoint. While these thieves didn't steal our jewelry I couldn't be sure the next robbers wouldn't. If they wanted the rubber ring they could have it lol.
@blahorgaslisk77635 жыл бұрын
@@TheEmbersFromAshes Thank you for your input. I guess I had a rather narrow view on the symbolic value many put on rings. To me they are purely ornamental, and even a wedingband is for me something I don't feel the need to wear everyday. I've got all my rings stashed and only consider using them on special occasions. Now I can see that there is some use for these things as symbolic representations. I guess it's all in how you were raised. In my case my parents married when they were in their early twenties and they loved each other unconditionally until their death. But in all the years neither of them made a habit of wearing their wedding bands other than on special occasions. So that kind of stuck with me.
