Really helpful. I knew most of these but never knew that far easier method on #1 getting yoshi to that island. I used to clip through one of the windows and it was a lot harder to do. That yoshi trick is simple now.

There's an easier, probably faster method now and it doesn't require Yoshi. You can swim to the island with a banana and clip through the pipe. It's very easy to clip through first try every time once you have the angles down

You're making Yoshi skip way harder than it needs to be: instead of sidestepping into the tree, run into it and hover backwards to grab the ledge of the mushroom (there's a spot where Mario won't pull himself up automatically). Then you can press B to slide down, and start hovering shortly after you see Mario start to freefall. You'll have a lot less downward speed that way, so the hover will be easier to time

The reason why the flip panel is in the caged shine sprite is because the cage is still there in later episodes. Players wouldn't be able to get out if the panel wasn't there.

I did the ferris wheel skip as a kid thinking thats just how you beat it. It wasnt until my third playthrough i even realized there was an area to climb up behind it 🤣

If you don't know go to bainco hills and do level 1 but when you defeat the chocolate monster don't get the star go direct to petey piranha voila 1 lvl skipped
