10 Awesome things to do in the Black Forest in Germany 🇩🇪

During the Autumn I decided to go for a quick getaway to the Black Forest in Germany. Because of the dark moody weather the landscapes and forests looked even more mystical.

The Danube get its name at the confluence of the Breg and Brigach river, near Donaueschingen. The local ruler built the rounded fountain you mentioned.

13:42 Per definition this is considered the source of the Danube as it is the longest river (Brigach) that later meets with the river Breg to form the Danube. The source in Donaueschingen is just an artificial construction with no geographical meaning. By the way the region at the real source is a great hiking area. A beautiful, not too difficult hike is to the Brend Tower where a. Ice restaurant is waiting for you.

Any idea if there are any places in the region for elderly with knee problems? Which ones from your list can they go to? We have a car

I think numbers 2, 3, 4, 8 and 10 for sure. If you can walk a little bit maybe Triberg and All saints waterfalls as well because it's only a few hundred meters walking.

You definitely need a car. Public transportation is very limited as far as I remember.

Wij vieren al 15 jaar onze vakantie in het zwarte woud, en je raakt er niet op uit gekeken. Freiburg heeft een mooie oude binnenstad, dat moet je een keer gezien hebben. Gr uit Friesland.
