We've reviewed over 300 pieces of travel gear. And about 100 of those products have gotten a video review on this KZbin channel. It can be hard to keep up with all that gear so we've decided to highlight some travel products that we think are, well, awesome.
This is some of the gear that our team always comes back to-both for travel and day-to-day life. We've tried, tested, and written full reviews on all of these products (and more). So if you're looking for more details, check out our full reviews.

@@PackHacker Thanks for the reply, Rebecca. Its always nice to hear from you. I appreciate your kind words very much. I do actually have a relatively new favorite 'travel product,' too. The Aer Duffel Pack 2 is what comes to mind right away. This carry on pack is just plain wonderful for 1-7 days (if you pack minimally). I get a great deal of pleasure from a couple of Osprey products, too. The toiletry roll is so nice and small when compressed yet it holds everything and is super light weight. I also routinely use the Osprey straight jacket (I think its called that). Its basically a wonderful 20L compression sack. I roll up my pants and shirts in there along with socks and underwear. I can easily compress 2 or 3 weeks worth of things in that sack. It also doubles as a bag for dirty clothes for the trip back. Its super lightweight with three straps to compress and it can fit (even) in a 25L backpack really well. Thanks for asking, Rebecca. I can go on and on with this topic, too. I hope I didn't do that here though. :)

Just a tip when you're in Japan, those Tom Bihn pouches and that last one, Topo design case, you can get exactly the same pouches and cases at Daiso or any 100¥ shop around Tokyo. I bought tons of these things while I was there in all different sizes and colors 😅 Not only they are cheaper but also good quality.

I bought the Thule tech pouch (black with teal blue liner) for a trip to Argentina based on this recommendation, and I have no regrets! I packed headphones, earphones, MP3 player, Kindle, portable charger, backup flash drive, and pen along with corresponding cords. It kept everything well organized and protected. I lost all my other pens except for the one in here. It also worked great for TSA. I just opened it and laid it flat in the tray so that everything was visible (caveat not all TSA officers may like this though) without all my electronics crashing around in a tray. This is the only bag that doesn’t look worse for wear after the trip as well. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@@PackHacker I assume it's just a marketing choice. Someone packing a bag or carrying luggage is going to find smaller items more attractive, so label your products micro, small, and medium, rather than small, medium, and large. I just thought it was amusing since all these terms are relative, the word medium literally means intermediate, and came from the Latin term for middle, so you can't truly have a medium without a large... Yeah I've way over thought this.

I’m looking for a bag that would be great for a structural engineer. Looking for a bag that is comfortable and durable for a full day on a construction site. Can easily clip a hard hat to. And can have easy access to interior even when in cramped and uncomfortable spaces. I currently use a Swiss gear bag. It gets the job done but is not ideal (heavy and not allot of room). Can you make a ultimate packing guide for a travel photographer? For example if someone has 1-2 camera bodies, 3 lenses(one canon 70-200) , drone, tripod, drone battery’s, camera battery’s, memory card case, filter case, cables and chargers, first aid kit plus clothes. Can you help me figure out how to carry all of that within two carryon bags? (I’m using the new Shimoda action x50 bag)

@PackHacker
@PackHacker 4 жыл бұрын
Hey jefdby! The Fjallraven Passport Wallet packhacker.com/travel-gear/fjallraven/passport-wallet/ is not RFID-blocking, but it's completely up to you and your travel style whether you decide to have this feature or not. We've found that while there are no hard numbers on how many RFID financial crimes are committed (it can be hard to determine how credit card information is stolen once it’s already been stolen), not having to worry about the possibility always provides peace of mind. You also won’t have to worry about your passport information or hotel key card information being collected by criminals with an RFID reader.All that said, the data is murky on how many of these electronic crimes have actually been committed. The thief needs to have an RFID-reader and be standing close to you. Plus, you need to have a credit card with an RFID sensor chip and most modern passports are already RFID-blocking. Hope this helps! - Rebecca

When i was making my EDC type backpack setup...i came across the Heroclip n thought is it worth £20 on amazon....3 months later and its brilliant, hanging my bag off a table or when ive gone out photographing i dont have to keep my back on i can hang it up off a tree / rail etc. Keysmart i ended up getting the Pro version as it has a mini led torch and a tile tracker in. Also got the Joby Gorillapod 1k kit as i needed one that had a standard camwra mount but also a phone too

Hey Cameron - deciding on what products you need for travel really depends on you and your use case. If you prefer to have all of your items organized within your backpack, then perhaps some of these products aren't going to work as well for you. But, if you like to be able to just remove a pouch or transfer pouches into your daypack, or for ease at a co-working space then they can come in super handy. Plus, there's no product that's going to work for everyone, we just wanted to show you some of the top-rated travel products that we think are pretty awesome. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca

Why do so many companies label their largest size (or in some cases not in this video their smallest size) as medium? It's idiotic. Small, medium, large. It's simple and makes sense. If you have more than 3 then use extra small and/or extra large. This trend really bugs me.
