My husband and I were considering Freyja(yes, spelt like that-my husband loves the traditional Nordic spelling)but we've ditched it in recent times! Just because we like slightly more unusual names for girls...and Freya is now super popular!

Love this thread. :) I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant with our first and Parker and Grayson were two of the boy names I loved that my husband didn't. My absolute favorite boy name is River, but our last name is Reed, so I definitely will never be able to use that name no matter how many children we have. We settled on Jacob Riley as our boy option, but we're actually having a girl, so we chose Amelia Joy for this baby and I'm in love with it. Other girl name options were Mackenzie Joy, Makayla Grace, and Caroline Faith. I love names like Raegan and Rhiannon, but my husband was having none of it.

Ahhhh, I loved watching this. I really am baby name obsessed. And the fact that I continue to sit on my favourite names like a closely guarded secret says everything I need to say about whether I want more. Although Rich says no, so maybe I should do a video of my favourites to get it out of my system. I love surname first names too, but Rich doesn't, so we had many battles over those. I like those gender neutral type names too that could suit either, but had a tough time convincing Rich on any other than Quinn, which is what we call Ashlyn (it's her middle name). I literally cannot wait to hear what that baby boy is called, you have such lovely taste in names!!!! x

I love all of your name choices, Emily. I work at primary school and one of our little girls is Isabelle Norris. I can't see it happening but if I were to have a baby number three I'd be thinking of all of the children I work with, the certain ones who repeatedly act up - I wouldn't use their name haha. I loved the names so much! And had a good laugh out of Isabellend, because it's happened to me, lol. I also have a 6-month-old baby boy and had to give up on a lot of my favourite male names on my list because his father didn't like them, so I know how you felt when you had to give up those names. I love that you're thinking about the type of career your kid could possibly have. My husband and I are having our baby in Sept and his name is gonna be Harrison Parker. His dad didn't like Parker as the first name so we went with Harrison, but either way I love his full name so much and we're so ready to meet him!

I love all of them ! So unique but not extreme. German names aren't all that much up my alley but I've always loved the UK names. We have an Elliotte Laura and McCoy Hillman, (Mac for short, middle name is my maiden name 😊). Hudson was my top boy's name but a friend used it for her wee girl. And Molly was our second choice for a girl. But that's it for us, no more babes 💕. Freya & Carter featured on our list too 😊. All the best xx
