They are playing an idiotic inbreed game at this tournament, where you don't have to call and you got an early win on the 10. Basically they play 9-ball with an extra ball and throw the initial 10-ball philosophy out of the window.

Wow, the game sure has changed. The cloth is like ice, so you don’t need a stroke anymore. Playing every shot with an open bridge would have got you broke in years past. Using a cue made out of the same stuff as fishing poles, really ? I’ll take my old Richard Black made with wood, ivory and a steel joint any day over the fishing pole cues.

Why aren't they using the black Aramath balls for this tournament? Are they out of fashion now?

They wanted to go back to traditional ball colors because the High Def cameras can show the colors accurately. 10 years ago we were stuck with substandard cameras and some of the commentators and those watching the streams werr having a hard time distinguishing some of the balls because it was slightly blurry.
