Just a tip: This isn’t the actual army, and no one is obligated to follow your orders as an officer. Be polite with your squad and ask for things respectfully-don’t try to force anyone to comply

Best piece of advice to remember! We all play our own way. When i SL or CO i like to just give the info and ask for assistance/give a general objective to the squad. Unless one guy is specifically trolling being polite works everytime

Another thing that will help is to learn the sounds. For instance, if I'm running along and see a friendly Squad Leader to my right. I'm going to assume he's using a Thompson. If I hear his Thompson shooting and it's answered by a weapon that is slightly faster and higher pitch, I know he's fighting someone with an MP40. If I hear more than one MP40 shooting, I can assume it's an enemy Squad Leader and Support trying to build a garrison.

got me and my bro back in ww2 games again. We were huge dod source and mohaa players back in the day and we never found any other ww2 games that was interesting then we got this for free on epic and its been nothing but awesome. I love the learning curve and i am enjoying this game very much. Im hoping they keep working on it though i noticed theres small bugs here and there, like me clipping inside tree's and little mounds of ground... make me invisible to the enemy and i can just kill for hours as long i got ammo loll.

Im a shortly before Thanksgiving noob. Loving this game, only thing Im having issue with is lack of comms, irrelevant comms or people being jerks when I am trying to communicate things I observe. Legit left a match yesterday after trying to let the team know we had swarms of enemies camped on HQ2 and got screamed at by a player. Left the match and loaded into another only to be put in the same match on the other team, so I spent the last 10 min trolling that squad absolutely making their loss grandiose. Wish I had logged their ODs so I could send them the clip of how a noob was trolling the jerk vets who were talking trash but kept running right into my ambush. 1 Forward position was easy to flank and mow down everything that spawned which was my old squad. Lol

Comms are unfortunately hit or miss, typically if one squad isn’t talking I go to another

@ChaoticHammer_ I tend to do the same unless I can't get machine gunner role which is my primary role to play, this US Marine returns to his roots in that role. That match was a catastrophic loss to start so when I reloaded and got the same match just on the winning side it was hilarious karma for the guys who thought dying running in an open field to an objective that couldn't be won the way they set up FP and NO Garrisons was more important than protecting our HQ and Arty that legit would have turned the tide.

Being a World of Tanks, Enlisted, and WarThunder vet I have to say as a new player to HLL tanks are easy to run for me. I can play any seat effectively granted WT and WOT are not FPS veiws, but the experience from playing those games translates to proper angles for defense from enemy tanks and knowing weak points of those tanks. In general their weak points are quite similar between all the games I mentioned. Enlisted and WarThunder are not games ai play any longer due to the cheating Gaijin Development has allowed and done nothing to fix for 3 years, so when HLL came on sale for Thanksgiving I jumped on it as Ive missed the chaos of MilSims.

I would love to have my online best friend play Hell Let Loose with me over COD, however, that isn't likely to happen because she likes to play with her partner and he plays on PC and unfortunately there is no cross play between console and PC. Me and her play on PS5.

To anyone that comes from Epics free giveaway and wanna learn and play the game how it should be played wait 2-3 more weeks. I tried it today but in 5 matches 4 was a complete roll since our team just runned it down. Give it time, try to join to experienced officer. IDK why I give tips since I'm new but with the spawn system it's similar to Enlisted on the tactical level and there is the most important is good spawn/destroy enemy spawns, here is the same. No matter how good a shot you are if you run from HQ every time and the enemy spawns 3 different direction on the obj.

@@serbe323 the main reasons why people will say this is because of how much different this game is compared to other games like COD or BF, where you can go off and do your own thing for the most part and still win the game. In Hell Let loose this is not the case. Another reason is that there is unfortunately a decent sized player base that doesn’t communicate which makes things more difficult to actually perform effectively as a squad. communication in this game is very important things, such like where enemy spawn points and tanks can be vital to victory.

People play fps shooters to just run and shoot, not to hide and seek for garrisons like a needle in a hay. Why games are trying to become part-time job? Small ttk is good, but these maps are too large

Hey man just a video idea I haven’t seen one KZbinr cover this but the idea of a Sino Japanese front in HLL. By far would be more balanced than the Japanese vs the Americans if they were to make a pacific front. Plus it was one of the most brutal fronts in the war that’s never ever talked about
