10 Beginners Tips And Tricks Forza Horizon 5 Doesn't Tell You

Given how large Forza Horizon 5's Mexico is and how packed it is with things to do, it goes without saying that players are going to be spending a lot of time in Playground Games' newest open world racer.

Depends a bit. I've been playing every fh since 2 and i play with Pro with minimal to no tuning. (By minimal i mean only modifying aero front/back.) If you exercise alot, you tend to know how to do stuff.

tbh it's more of a mix of ur comment and the replies. you dont NEED a good tune to beat fast car but it does certainly improve your experience and just fun overall. I love making new vinyls, car designs and tunes rather than just downloading them because it's more fun. your choice on how you wanna play the game of course but if you arent going to bother with tuning at least try downloading one so you can feel the night and day difference.

Some tips for beginners from this person on the internet. Just because you're on the gas doesn't mean you can't hit the brakes. The brakes lock so "pump" the brakes and you might (will) see better brake performance. If your car is turbo-charged you don't want to be constantly dropping the throttle completely because you are dumping boost pressure and it has to rebuild. Dumping the throttle also reduces the effectiveness of your car's aero mods. If you don't see differences in your cars handling with aero mods that it says they're supposed to give, you might drive like this. The line on the screen is a suggestion not a requirement, modify your car to how you can best 'drive' it with good technique. If you tend to initiate turns early you might want to induce understeer with technique or modification. If you turn late learn to induce oversteer with techniques like deke turning to shift and settle the weight of the vehicle on the suspension before you're turning to make you more stable through the line. Drift setups let you carry more speed through technical corner sections in my experience and that is usually where I win races. Sorry this video just highlighted what the game pushes to begin with. I thought some driving tips should be found somewhere near a video about tips in a driving game.🤦‍♂️

Just because the racing line turns red, doesn't ALWAYS (maybe 10% of the time) you don't have to break, it could just be an uphill where you could catch air or even a corner where it recommends you slow down

The wheel is fun for freeroam, but don't race with it because this game will piss you off. Once you lock the steering by going around a curve, no amount of steering in the opposite direction will get you out of that slide. So it's useless for racing, fun for freeroam but that's it. Not sure what the difference is, because your car doesn't lock into a slide in freeroam, but get in a race and you are fu*ked

I have to remind you that GT 3-6 remain gold standards in sim racing. Forza has been playing catch-up until the PS4/Xbox One generation, so writing off the OG sim champ is a mistake.

When on the map, when I click on a location to go and it says "[Enter] Set Rout" what am I supposed to click to start? Clicking Enter just de selects it or reselects it. So far no button on my steering wheel, mouse or keyboard does anything to start the race.

You are correct more of the same BS. They need to do away with the ignorant clothing options, or at least take them out of the wheelspins. Nothing I like better than grinding my ass through a huge race like The Goliath, only to be rewarded with a bunch of stupid ass clothes and horns. I mean come on! Make those purchase onlyitems, so you don't waste your hard earned reward on stupid shit, and this way the folks that give a crap about clothes can dress up like circus clown all they want! Speaking of clothing, one thing you can do to combat getting clothes in your wheelspins, is to purchase every single piece of it that you can. This will decrease the amount of items you get from wheelspins, because once you own the item they won't appear in the wheelspins. Now, granted it will cost you around 5 million or so to do this, so you may want to look into an AFK race. I know some folks will scream and yell and have a tantrum, but it's your game you do what you feel. Also, the clothing options, OMG!! What the hell!!! I mean they're great if you want your character to be dressed like a circus clown, but if you want to dress say kinda like your style in real life, well you're screwed. Unless, your style is circus clown, mine is Carhartt, which is pretty much country work wear. So, I'm f*cked on that part. Lol, but I think they've missed the mark here, what could have been great, is just more of the same shit.

Break into the corners early, release on the exit. Also, I just tap and release. Holding it down will cause you to lose traction. And one thing I've learned to use more so than the actual brakes, is to just let off the throttle. I ride bikes and engine braking is what I utilize mostly when riding the curves. So similar concept here.

Yep, stay away from jumps if you can. Also, forget you have a handbrake, kills your speed so you'll lose precious distance between you and the other cars. They also need to address the AI in this game, can't count the number of times I have been in first place for over half of the race. Have a great last lap going, hitting the driving lines right, no collisions and get to the last 5% of the race and a damn AI car go flying past like a bat out of hell!! If they've coded this into the game it needs to be removed. I mean if you're winning, you should continue to do so all the way to the finish. I get it if you collide with the environment and you lose momentum, but to have clean racing bonuses and next thing you know, the AI is blowing past you right at the end! Now I have to use my rearview mirror to watch for them so I can block them. They really need to look at this, happens multiple times, really takes the fun out of this game.

First there is at least one the game doesn't mention at all (the strategy stuff regarding jumps) and even some of the ones it does cover there are additional pointers said in here the game doesn't address. Hmmm have you done the math... When you take off at 96 from the jump and as gravity takes effect, your speed increases eg to 117 for the hang and then to 78 on the landing. Q is does the gravity cancel out the slow-down on landing. I think not quite, it still quicker without jumping. What do you reckon?

You lose speed as you rise above the race surface and then again on impact if your suspension and tire setup cannot hold grip and allow you to immediately start accelerating. The arguement for keeping your tires on the track is that on the frequent occasion you are jumping down hill you are only having gravity assist your acceleration. If you're full throttle down hill the vehicle is pulling itself along with gravity faster than 9.8m/sec^2 will get it in a comparable acceleration period. Edit:fixed typo

Are you referring to the ones with the people or when selecting cars? If you mean selecting a car say to upgrade, go to your garage and go to paint car. Now click on select car, next pick the car you want to work on. Now, instead of having to watch that dumbass cutscene where it takes you to Forzavista, you are in the car and ready to work on it. If you're referring to the animated scenes with the characters, you're screwed. You have to watch that dumb shit

I want a return to the OG Horizon. You start with a crappy car and no cash, and slowly work your way up to beating the number 1 man at Horizon.
