Excellent job capturing the beauty of these stoneys under low Kelvin lighting. I passed up a chance to view the farm a couple years ago when covid was in full swing.. Thanks for sharing Jake, keep up the grind!

Jake and team, amazing video. Question for you - when you shoot the video, what lighting settings would you set to if lit by Radion G4 Blue? Are all channels at 100%? Your color rendition is phenomenal.
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
I generally aim for 100% on the blue channels, 50% on the whites, and 25% on the red & greens and then tweak the spectrum to your liking and what's working with your camera
@TreasureCorals2 жыл бұрын
@@ReefBuildersVideo thank you, and the Cyan color (5th on the list down) - do you put this as Blue at 100% or more like 25% or 50%?

Wish I could achieve these colors on my acros, I get great growth, but I can not get the colors. I’m always reminding myself to be patient, and it usually always pays off. 🪸
@ReefBuildersVideo2 жыл бұрын
there can be any number of missing links to achieve 'peak' coloration and vitality and for me the last piece of the puzzle with Acros was dosing a small amount of PO4, sounds crazy but in my case in made a HUGE difference
@Messier87_M872 жыл бұрын
@@ReefBuildersVideo In my situation, when i put a frag of Walt Disney in my tank, the polyps eventually turned brown and the colors slowly faded. Strangely it’s growing like crazy and has amazing polyp extension so…. When I test my phosphate on a Hanna Phosphorus PPB checker, they’re generally reading 1-2 PPB (NO3 5 PPM) I may need to research the phosphate issue also. Thanks for the tip!
@tomg54052 жыл бұрын
@@ReefBuildersVideo only if you have low phosphate, i suppose?
@EazyP_Z2 жыл бұрын
@@Messier87_M87 yes that is quite low! Even possibly zero accounting for margin of error. My WD also faded for the first few months in similar conditions. You may try dosing Phosphate up to ~0.05. I just "dose" Reef Roids as my Phos source, dependably keeps it from being undetectable and the corals get some extra nutrition.
@Messier87_M872 жыл бұрын
@@EazyP_Z Thanks for the help! I recently raised my Phosphate up to 0.031 PPM. I’m going to let it sit around that level for a couple months and see if that helps. I have noticed when I add a new acro frag to tank they generally lose their color but they always color back up, but this Walt Disney Tenuis is very finicky. I’ve also considered the fact this may be a lighting issue also, time will tell.
