I started playing 4 days ago, I’m 23 with a full time job and only recently discovered this game after finishing college. I’m absolutely hooked and addicted. I want to get better because yeah, for a newbie it’s a pretty tough game. I don’t use comms and solo-que just cause I don’t have friends that game, so I know I’m at a dis-advantage already if I want to try “ranked” or maybe even “standard” I’ve got to lvl 42 so I’m close to unlocking “ranked” play, it’s intimidating even while locked lmao, I’ve been having a blast, however some things are still so frustrating and never answered. So many times I’m team-killed for god knows why. I can only come to the conclusions of “maybe I placed a barrier in the wrong door.” Or “maybe I looked at that guy the wrong way” Ive only team killed once and it was a complete accident (no, like legit an accident) so It can be hard trying to learn such a vast video game when you’re team-killed for doing things you don’t even know yet. Finally, I have had the worst experience when trying to use comms, not only do I not have any idea what call-outs are used for certain locations yet, but I am CONSTANTLY getting shit on verbally, racial slurs, horrid actions against animals, just putrid shit humans could say, all while telling me I’m absolute dogshit at the game and I should “un-install” and quit. Honestly, makes me want to. Rainbow 6 Siege is super fun and engaging but the community ((from my personal experience alone)) has been incredibly dull and dreadful. I can’t learn anything from anyone, no one wants to help/coach, just YAP! people from the ages of 4 to 20 just telling me how shit at the game I am, it’s super infuriating. And just to be clear it’s not cause my feelings get hurt, my boss calls me much worse things that I brush off everyday while I dog his wife every night, I just want to LEARN, and it doesn’t look like I’ll ever be able to because this community is so unbearably toxic. Love the video and I’ll rewatch the more I play, but I don’t think any tips will help my awful experience when trying to actually engage with other human beings on this video game. TERRIBLE.

I also want to say some ppl will try and say “it’s probably you, buddy” To that I say fuck off for one, and two, I’ve made actual IRL friends and colleagues in DIFFERENT counties in DIFFERENT regions of the world…because of Helldivers 2…. It’s not me, it’s the god damn brain rot community that plays R6 I believe I’ll be playing this TEAM BASED game alone forever because yeah, Your “✌🏽TEAM✌🏽” is just going to be insulting you the entire time. I’m making this post because it literally happened again as I was making the last post. “Team-killed” “Racial slur” “Uninstall” All while having 8 kills, 3 deaths, 4 assists, top of leaderboard. Fuck. This. Shit.

Yes... unfortunately the R6 community is often toxic. Maybe they Team Killed you because you did something they didn't like, like reinforcing a rotation, blocking strategic passes or you came between them when they didn't want to. But don't worry, you're new to the game. Maybe when you have free time watch videos of people who are good at playing and collect as many info as you can. consider that you will start to see your improvements in about a month. @@rev0live752 it's not about being better. With rook you have one job - put down the armor. And after that you can learn the mechanics of the game and much more important - learn the maps.
