I just got the Amex Business Plus today with a 10k limit! I was a bit nervous to pull the trigger but I was pretty confident it would be a soft pull since I have multiple Amex cards and all the personal cards I’ve gotten since my first one have all been soft pulls. Honestly this card makes the MR earning cards way more viable as a set up acting as the catch all card to the gold, green, platinum.

I'd personally go for the Amex Blue Business Plus 👍 Earns 2X on all purchases, $0 annual fee, and earns points best used for flights and/or via travel transfer partners. It does charge foreign transaction fees though, so I'd use a different card while making purchases on a trip outside of the U.S.

I was waffling on what card to get. Applied for the chase ink and was denied (it was a hard pull). I should have went with my gut because I applied for the amex blue plus immediately after (no pull) and got approved for 15k for my business. First business credit card! Thank you for this video. It was so well put together and the details were the best part.

Congrats on your approval for the Amex BBP! Enjoy it 💯 You could also consider calling the Chase Reconsideration Line in case you'd like to see if they could overturn the decision.

Hey Mark, why do alot of CC KZbinrs say that the benefit of having a business CC is that it doesn't report to your personal credit or something like that from what I've heard and read. Why is that such a big deal? Just curious. Thanks as always for responses!
@MarkReese11 ай бұрын
It's a big deal because business credit cards that don't report... a. Won't increase your 5/24 count with Chase. b. Won't affect your credit score in terms of a new account being opened. c. Won't affect your credit score in terms of utilization.

I know how chase points work as far as transferring between cards and transferring to people in your household but how does American Express work? What cards do you have to have in order to transfer between one another. Is the cash cards like chase cash cards? Can I transfer cash as points to a main card? Do you have a video on this? Amex seems so confusing.
@jetservazquez6824 Жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about membership rewards they all pull into your account regardless of the card(s) you have, you still need to have at least one active card to keep your points. On AmEx you can’t transfer points between people like with Chase. And finally cash back cards can only be redeemed as a statement credit for that specific card. Membership rewards can also be redeemed as a cash back but at a lower value so it’s not recommended to do that, it’s best to transfer to partners.
@MarkReese Жыл бұрын
1. Amex points are automatically combined into 1 balance. 2. "Transfer partners" refers to moving points from Amex into another partner program. Here's a link to a video showing how to do that, starting at 3 min 53 sec: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5aUiJSvrteqpKc Any card that earns Membership Rewards points has access to transfer partners, including the ones with a $0 annual fee. 3. Amex does not allow moving / sharing points to any other person or account. 4. Amex's cash back cards do not function like the ones from Chase. Instead of earning points, Amex gives you actual cash back / dollars that are redeemable for statement credits.

Mark- any data points on people being able to get approved for multiple of the same Chase Ink cards with just a SSN? Meaning if I had the Chase Ink Unlimited and wanted to get another SUB in 24 months on that same card, could I open a 2nd CIU using just my SSN as a sole proprietor again? Thanks!

Quick question if I have a issue with another business where I don’t like their products and services plus they guarantee a refund or warranty on products etc but don’t want to honor the warranty/ service that they claim they would. But had already use the business credit card to purchase can I dispute that charge

Hey Mark! Great video as always. The cards you mentioned do they actually report to DNB, Experian or Transunion?
@MarkReese Жыл бұрын
Hey Carter - Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to which business bureaus these report to. I spent 1-2 hours researching myself awhile back but didn't find conclusive info. Banks rarely disclose which bureaus they pull from & which one(s) they report to.

For the chase business cash card for the 6k spend requirement, is paying taxes on it counting for the bonus or does it need to be spend like in stores?

I think the US Bank altitude connect business card deserves a mention, you probably forgot about it because it's so new
@MarkReese Жыл бұрын
I almost included it (but backed out in the end) 😁 The part that initially bothered me was the 5X category requires using the U.S. Bank Rewards Center, the rewards program lacks transfer partners and/or an elevated redemption rate for travel, and the 2X category isn't interesting as other cards earn 2X on all purchases. However, now that I'm thinking it over again, I think it could have been included for other reasons. For instance... The ability to earn 4X on gas + EV charging is very great, 4X on all travel is also great, 4 Priority Pass visits per year is adequate for occasional travelers, and no FTFs is very useful. Seems to be worth a $95 annual fee (currently $0 in Year 1). Maybe I just need to get it myself for further convincing 😬

Please help!!! I have a trucking business and want to benefit as much as I can using a credit card. I’ll be using at least $1,500 a week on fuel and other expenses. I have a Amex Gold credit card coming in the mail and plan to use that. My girl helped me get it since she already has one. What steps should I take to get an Amex Gold Business and is there other credit cards I should look into.
@MarkReese Жыл бұрын
Hi Devon - to clarify, you're getting the Amex _personal_ Gold Card in the mail, correct? And you want the _business_ Gold Card because that's the one that can earn 4X on gas, right?

I am wondering same thing regarding business cards for trucking. Was looking at costco card, but non automobile purchases only 1% back. I am team cash back, and looking for no annual fee business card that is good for gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants. Might need a couple cards to maximize these categories.

Question 🙋♂️…. I know you cancel some credit cards….. don’t you care about the length of credit history already established or keeping that credit strong or does that not really affect you negatively? I do understand some credit card annual fees are ridiculous so maybe it’s more about keeping money in the pocket but what about the impact to the credit 🤔
@TomSramekJr Жыл бұрын
If you’re talking business cards, closing one doesn’t effect your personal credit. If personal, one has to weigh the credit hit vs. the annual fee.
@jt2428 Жыл бұрын
@@TomSramekJrThank You Tom I appreciate the feedback
@MarkReese Жыл бұрын
1. I've built up a robust credit file to where I no longer worry about canceling cards. 2. I never let canceling cards (esp. ones with annual fees) or even my credit score itself get in the way of maintaining my financial health. If my score were to temporarily drop due to canceling cards with fees, then I'll let it drop. I'd rather have that cash in my pocket to do something smart with rather than worrying about losing a few points from my score (that will recover later on). 3. History from closed card accounts still remains on your official credit report for 7-10 years. 4. Here's a link to another video you may find helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5S6opyumbaeaZI.
