Great video! I’ve done some of the climbs from the list, and the rest are definitely on my bucket list. Here are some of my other favorites: 1. Teide climb from Playa San Juan - My favorite side of the volcano. The climb is very long but not too steep, with changing landscapes and tremendous views. 2. Masca - The ultimate sufferfest and the jewel of Tenerife. 3. Cormet de Roselend - A much more beautiful and less busy climb than its more famous neighbor, Col de l’Iseran. 4. Sellaronda - I can’t pick just one climb here; they’re best tackled together, either clockwise, counterclockwise, or both. 5. Serra da Estrela - A 22 km climb with 1,500 m of elevation gain to the highest point of continental Portugal, and one of the most beautiful lesser-known climbs in the world. 6. Valley of Tears on Gran Canaria - No comments needed. If you know, you know.

One day before I get too old I hope to ride these European climbs. Only once have I ridden in “Spain” which was Tenerife. I recall Mt. Teide was quite challenging. Here in the northeast United States, I partake in the Mt. Washington hill climb in New Hampshire each year. An absolute beast. 12 km at an avg of 12%. With ramp at end 22%.

Hi, great to have a ranking of the top climbs around the world. I would like for you to consider adding Yolosa - La Cumbre YLC, in Bolivia... The climb is only 88 Km but with a net gain of 4.824 m. Staring at 1.200 m in the amazon (Yolosa), climbing across the dead road reaches La Cumbre, and then Chacaltaya summit in the Andes at 5.300 m above sea level. Definitive a high altitude climb and probably the hardest in the world. (The road is suitable only for Gravel and MTB)

I would happily watch the 30min version of this video that goes a little bit more in-depth breaking down each of these climbs. Actually, if you did a series that breaks down the greatest climbs with graphics, etc., I think it could be an amazing resource. Perhaps 5min each, and broken down the way you would do a stage preview, but edited with firsthand footage. I would watch them just to familiarize myself before the grand tours each season.

unpopular opinion: Alpe D'Huez is undoubtedly a legendary climb because of the Tour. But it shouldn't be on on a list of the best climbs in the world. Too much hype for this road!
