Just a word of caution...We've used easy peasy for years but recently had to step away from it. My 2 sophomore boys were using the EP highschool biology and discovered it was heavily steeped in evolution. They came to me multiple times but we kept plugging through until we realized we just couldn't anymore. EP blessed my homeschool for many years but I would NOT recommend their highschool biology course. I've enjoyed apologia very much and hadn't heard of generations before...I'll be checking that one out! Thanks for this awesome compilation!

Oh that's so interesting. Lee Giles says she is a creationist so I'm so surprised to hear this. Is it that the link to evolutionary videos on secular sites? (This is a bit dissapointing to hear!)

I haven't done it, but I have a Christian friend who used it and liked it. I'm not a massive fan of Time 4 Learning because it's secular. I've experienced Christian programs a lot, so I know how much better they are. But some people say I have too high a standard. Maybe pray about it :) And it is my absolute pleasure to share the reviews! I love comments like yours :) God bless.

Do you have review on ignite?? My child currently finishing 8th liberty K-12 not happy with it. I absolutely love your reviews. You briefly spoke on ingnite I have narrow dwn to this one for my 9th grader curious a bit on their style biblical teachings. Thank you

I haven't but I want to. I think my only problem with it is that it's ridiculously expensive. But that's because they'll help your kids every step of the way. If you can afford it and need that extra help, I'd say go for it :) God bless.

I'm pulling my daughter from public school...a couple of the moms in our social group are as well. Since I teach computer programming remotely at night I'm home during the day so I agreed to teach our kids. We just started looking into programs. Since not all are christian (some catholic) but ALL conservative I suggested looking for a classical curriculum. You mentioned one program do you have any more suggestions? Classical education is something desperately needed in the upcoming generation. I went to a non denominational christian private school then a baptist boarding school for high school where we used the ACE curriculum with paces. Surprisingly I was able to graduate a year early and tested into high level college math science and rhetoric. So they definitely prepared me for college. Our kids are being dangerously indoctrinated in public school. It's affecting their mental and physical health. We can't stand by and let it happen. So we are turning to homeschool. Thanks for any information you can give.

I work for bju press and would definitely recommend their online video courses! Also I am looking into Christian Light Education as well. It is more of a charlotte Mason unit type. It also has a dyslexia program if needed for reading.

I'm not knocking, but as a parent I am concerned about when a child's acumen in subjects achieves their parents, as they are the educator. Especially if the understanding is at all divergent.

I can reframe it as a question for you: What should a parent-educator do if their acumen of a subject is surpassed by either their child's understanding or the supplied curriculum? Also, how do you address a divergence in understanding with regard to things like society, social understandings, social studies... philosophy?

@@davidryanbonelli9242 Got it. I guess I'd look at my parents and say you need love and effort but you don't need a PHD. Case in point 👉 my folks were fairly uneducated. Dad finished high school and got a diploma. Mum didn't finish high school. But she knew how to 'crack the whip'. Our education had loads of [what many might call] holes. But we got through with a love of learning. That meant in later life we loved (and still do) teaching ourselves things. My brother became a lawyer, I went to medical school and my other brother is a pastor (formerly an architect). My parents are not geniuses but they taught us to question things. We used to attend occasionally something like a homeschool co op but this was never our main curriculum. In high school my oldest bro did distance ed. My bro went straight to a university bridging course and I went to trade school for a bit. Does that answer the question? Good question btw.

@@m.willow11 thank you. We need it. It's harder to hs in Oz than most of the United States. But I think Australians just don't have the same conviction about secular schooling as many Americans. Thank you for the prayers. Pray specifically that Australian Christians would WAKE UP. They need a shake something bad.

I have always had a side job. But I'm also VERY frugal :) You can do it without working. But you give up most nice things in life unless your husband earns a lot.

You can work full time... you just need a curriculum for full timers. A lot of accredited programs are perfect here. It's much easier with older children though.

Try substituting part time for a couple of months at your local schools. Afterward, you'll probably realize you are more than capable, and you'll have some teaching experience without a degree.

Dear Friend! How exciting! My best advice is just start. But don't get teachers manuals. Get something open and go. I did a video on them lately. It is scary starting but it will get easier. Ask any questions here. We're all so happy to help:)

@@L0vejenjen I'm so sorry! Have you heard of the M2H Community. It's all about encouraging homeschool moms and dads when they face discouragement. Don't worry. This is common. Many parents find, however, that after they've homeschooled for a while the kids are gorgeous and speak for themselves. But I'll pray for you now xx

As a Curriculum I do NOT recommend Sonlight, it is very politically biased and pushes wokeism, feminism and other waste of time concepts for children in their school work. Yes, if that is important to you than I am certain your children will pick up on it in normal conversations from your family but it isn‘t needed in literature, math word problems, etc…

Oh, that's really interesting. I haven't heard that one before. I know they also publish Bookshark, but I thought that was more down Bookshark's secular line. Did you do the curriculum for long?

My mom used Sonlight for me growing up and I currently use Sonlight for my own kids. I don’t find this to be true at all. And I can’t stand feminism etc.
