I found that most of these soaps left the skin dry and flaky. Plus, the scents smell good in theory but they don't really stand out among other bars. I think Squatch is pretty good in terms of scents, texture, and how it leaves my skin. Only complaints I have are that 1. It is too expensive, and 2. The smell is not potent enough to last on your body unless you leave a slight layer of soapy water on you when you get out of the shower.

oak moss and coumarin are still used in fragrances, but with stricter guidelines on the types of ingredients and the amount per volume. With fragrances, the concentration of oil is much higher than in soap or shampoo. And even then, you're talking about minute amounts in perfumes. I don't know the answer to your question about PAA, but I am personally not concerned about it. The percent per volume of oils is way smaller in soap, and you're washing it right off anyway.

The fragrance was great but the quality of the bar was just not what I would expect from a house like IA... Was very disappointed and will not order soap from them again... Personally... Whenever I want to treat myself to a nice soap (not in the Creed kinda way... LOL!!!) I always end up grabbing a bar of Geo F. Trumper's Goat Milk Soap... It's not a 'natural' soap or anything but for me it is the best soap I have ever used and I just love it... Great video as always Daver... Thanks so much for sharing... ^_^

I have tried so many different bars of soap and deodorants. Dr squatch has been my favorite ever since i bought some last week. I bought toothpaste shampoo and conditioner also. Everything they make is far superior than any other thing i have tried to this point. Dr squatch products smell amazing and my wife loves it. I use to have red broken out underarms and stinky also from using natural deodorant. With the squatch i smell good all day long and have no red pits anymore. My dandruff is gone and my beard dandruff is gone too from using these products. I have tried alot of different products this guy is speaking good about and they may work for other people but none have measured up to the dr squatch products. I have tried way more natural than any of these because i saw them made first hand but still the squatch wins hands down. I would rather go expensive and be happy than to go cheap and feel cheap!

@@BeastMadeReviews I love the pine tar bar! It doesn’t smell like pines but like an outside forest smell. It’s made from all natural oils and it has activated charcoal! I haven’t tried most of the soaps you’ve recommended but I have tired those basic ones like dove. I really like the toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soaps and deodorant. @@BeastMadeReviewsI’ve lived in WA state my entire life. I’m 31 years old. I’m sitting in a bedroom, with an unopened box of Squatch Pine Tar soap in my hand. It’s not too far off on accuracy. I took a slow long inhale…it’s pine. But like a grungy, dry, dirty forest (I supposed all forests are ‘dirty’ but I’m doing the best I can with my description). Notice it’s labeled Pine TAR. Which is why I think it has a messy dirty type of scent. These topics are subjective type topics. Nobody is right or wrong here. We can only say what we feel about the product. There will not be an objective truth found ANYWHERE here.
@BeastMadeReviews Жыл бұрын
@@AmateurHour1111 Is that an objective statement? I kid, but this is the type of comment that gets tiring to read. No one is arguing against subjectivity. I made a statement about why I think it doesn't smell like pine, and I mentioned that I live in a town that is literally covered in pine trees. It's not saying that the scent is objectively good or bad. It's a statement about my perception of how the scent is recreated. After my real-world experience, mixed with my professional experience smelling fragrances, I think this is a bad recreation. But if you like it, great. I'm happy for you. You do you.

I’m not sure if you’ve made a video on it yet but I couldn’t find it but how do you feel about Dr Bronner soaps? Also, I was surprised by the size of your channel and views, you have great lighting, good camera quality, great angles, and good b roll I honestly believe you should have way more subscribers, might I suggest just as a viewer to work on the thumbnails, it’d be a shame to see your quality content and clear effort go unnoticed. A trendier more clickable and broad thumbnail can cast a wider net for audiences. But definitely earned a subscriber!

$7 for cold pressed natural soap is NOT "expensive," ffs I don't get this at all. I love Dr. Squatch it doesn't irritate my skin and it smells SO good. Esp. Cool Fresh Aloe and Cold Brew Cleanse, just amazing. And I'm a girl and I love their products and use the toothpaste and shampoo & conditioner as well. $7 a bar is cheap for premium natural cold pressed soap.
@BeastMadeReviews2 жыл бұрын
"expensive" is always relative, but I think for the vast majority of people used to buying soaps at the supermarket, spending $7 on a soap is expensive by comparison. I'm not against spending more money for better quality--including soaps. My favorite soap is about $6. But Squatch doesn't offer quality in return for its higher price tag. It's actually worse than store-bought soap, which is where my criticism comes from.
@kropking Жыл бұрын
Actually, it is VERY expensive because what you probably don't know is that Dr. Squatch is merely a re-seller of soaps that can be purchased from Bulk Apothecary for as little as $1.25 per bar. Many of Dr. Squatch's soaps are on Bulk Apothecary. BA specifically makes their soaps for re-sellers. You're paying all that money just for Dr. Squatch branding and their advertising budget. Congratulations on helping scammers get rich. 😂

Not sure if you'll see/respond to this question given this being a slightly older video for you, but what is your recommendation for someone like me who is looking for a soap, deodorant, and cologne that all have the same scent? I'm looking to have a great scent that radiates off me, but obviously without over doing it.
@BeastMadeReviews3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question, Jason! Actually, Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements (one of my favorite soaps in this video) has many products for all their scents. You can find soaps, deodorants, and colognes (eau de parfum concentration, which is stronger than average), and then other products as well. I really like their products and their scents, and I think both their soaps and deodorants are some of the best I've ever tried. (As well as their shaving stuff). So you can get the same scent across many products. (Here's an affiliate link if you want to go directly to them: bit.ly/3uofv7E) But you can also try to find soaps and deodorants from companies that sell colognes as well, and often you can find bundles of these together for a bargain. That's great if you already have a favorite cologne and you want to find the products to accompany it. It's a bit of a mixed bag on their quality, though. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're a waste. So it's kind of a trade. But you can get good deals from time to time.

@kropking Жыл бұрын
Buy a scrubbing bar soap pouch. Cheap on Amazon. myHomeBody makes the best ones, in my opinion. They last a long time, you get two in a pack and I'm still on the first one after a few months. Miraculously, they also never absorb any fragrance from the soap and there isn't any cumulative stink from body odor, either, unlike a loofah. They always smell like NOTHING after you rinse them off. Best of all, they scrub the hell out of you (quite rough, but I like using it twice a week for a deep clean) and you can use them with any soap, since the pouch does the exfoliating, that way you can just use whatever soap smells best to you and still get super clean. Dr. Squatch is garbage.

well I personally think that most woody scents tend to smell more manly. Two common scents you will find are cedar and sandalwood. Both smell fantastic, imo. If you find a soap that lists that as a fragrance note, those should smell more masculine. As for Duke Cannon, I don't think they list the fragrance notes on some of their products, but they do say some of them are woody, and the ones I've tried smell really nice.
