I've used Sasquatch soap before and I honestly quite like it. I mean it's absolutely unnecessary expense it for soap. But I enjoy how strong the sentence, the texture of it on my skin, and I actually enjoyed the grainy texture of the Sand & Oates as well. Maybe this is just psychological, but I actually feel like I'm scrubbing the dirt and grime off of my body. My skin it's also very sensitive and gets very itchy a lot so it honestly helps with that as I'm wiping down cuz that grainy texture with these scratches it up real good. That's just me personally, probably other people may not like that. I could tell from your tone that you didn't. But I personally enjoy it. It almost feels like I'm scratching my back as I wipe with soap. It's just quite awkward to hold in the hand given that it's a perfect square ⬛

The bar is not overpriced when you learn how much it cost to make real natural soap. People have the option to buy commercial soap and they are really affordable, but they have bad ingredients like SLS, parabens, phahlate and others. Real soap is made from fats and Lye. Oils and lye are really expensive, like Shea butter, mango butter, Olive oil, coconut oil, avocado Oil, Palm Oil RSPO certified, sweet almond oil and much more. If you add additives, Kaolin clay, dead sea mud, oatmeal, honey, activated Bamboo Charcoal and much more. People don't appreciate natural products and don't know the real monetary value of those artisan products. Believe me, making real soap from scratch is expensive, difficult, dangerous and time consuming. Commercial soap is just detergent, skin drying and triggers eczema.

I broke down one holiday season and bought a bundle and whatever that bundle was came with a Soap Gripper. My thought on the Soap Gripper was exactly what you suggested before I used it. The Gripper is a hard plastic that you push into the bar and besides making it easier to hold it greatly helps bars from falling apart when they get thin. For what it is the Gripper is overpriced but it does work. I found that a number of the soaps smelled very nice, especially the Bay Rum.
@buttermonkeyFTW2 жыл бұрын
Yea, idk why this guy is shitting on them so much. The soap is good, it works really well and smells nice. It has good exfoliating properties and in fact I can get more uses out of a bar of dr squatch than i can out of the equivalent price of something like Old Spice. And, Dr Squatch doesn't irritate my skin. Plus most of the people complaining about 1) dripage or 2) the bars not lasting obviously dont know how to use a bar soap. You dont apply it under water. The bar should never be in direct water. And the soap dish that lets the water run away does make it last longer

There is an article (I think WSJ?) detailing why Chinese brands use these names and why they use so many labels in their listings on Amazon. Short: it is because it makes applying for trademarks much easier in the US-- any combination of letters that sounds follows English phonotactic rules appears to make it's way through the system easier. The labels comes down to how Amazon suggests items based on search queries, it makes the most sense for a product to list itself with as many tags as possible (specifically phrases, since many people use combinations of words to look for products).

I tried these soaps once. It wasn't for me, it dried out my skin. I just recently saw them being physically available at Walmart, which was a surprise.
@KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Their original line up was super harsh on the skin. But now they offer some moisturizing/revitalizing soap options. ( Thou it seems these higher quality/luxurious products) cause them to hike up their shipping price. ( As away to hide the real price increase)

I like the new reviews of off the wall stuff. I was always annoyed with the Dr Squatch adds. I hope you made more from this video than the soap cost.

You should totally fire up a second channel "Products Undone" where you break down non-camera related mainstream products. It would explode.

I ended up on their mailing list last week, with no clue as to how. I'm normally careful about what I click, so I think they're doing something unusually aggressive... This video is probably both the first and last time I will ever wax contemplatively on the subject of commercial soap products. Amusing, thanks.

I personally found a soap from another company that sells equal quality soap for half the price, but when I bought from dr squatch I literally preferred to just buy off amazon because the one time I ordered from their site it was the most annoying process ever, and it took like 2-3 weeks to arrive cuz they just wouldnt ship it out for like 2 weeks.

I will never buy anything I see in media commercials. EVERY single one becomes a scam in one way or another (Usually the issue is it's nearly impossible to cancel).

I'll stick with the soap made locally and sold at the nearby market. 2 lbs for ~$20-25.

In all honesty I wouldn’t buy it online. I only started using it because I saw that they sell it at my local Walmart for like 6$. So I get like 3 for 20$. But yeah when I looked at it on the website I was like “hell nah” but then I gave it a chance when I saw it at the store and surprisingly I really like the soap and the deodorant they have.
