I bought my SCX24-Yellow Jeep 2 weeks ago & I'm very happy with it! I have to admit...I never got the rock crawling thing. I like speed and to bash but for $120, I figured what the heck and wouldn't ya know it...I'm HOOKED! HOLY COW, I love it! I wouldn't have given rock crawling a chance, especially at the higher prices of most other models so hats off to Axial for drawing me in. Their marketing dept. knows what they're doing and I really appreciate this channel! Best channel I've found for rock crawling and I trust your reviews. Thx!!!

Same! I bought my SCX24 the week before Thanksgiving. I actually really was interested in rock crawlers, however was a little leery of the buy-in. Between buying the car itself, and then the battery and charger, was a little bit more than what I wanted to spend. The fact that the SCX24 came with everything in one box made it perfect for a relatively small cash outlay. I'm having a blast making little courses in my living room out of books and random objects LOL.

I’ve been a hardcore mountain biker for years & alot of the things you have to do transfer over well to Rc. I now have the 1:12 scale Rochobby Willys and just bought the Redcat Gen8 . I’ve tricked out the SCX big time & now working on Gen 8. Willlys I’m leaving stock except added a figure. I’m getting older now so I think this is going to be my next calling. I disagree with your #1 pick. First off, SCX24 was released in 2019. Second, the electronics are horrible. The moment you put brass on , servos, motor, esc start failing. Shocks are nothing special. I have 3 SCX24 and the electronics all failed within a week of installing brass. Axial needs to come out with a builder kit. I do agree with it getting more people in the hobby. I purchased the Redcat Gen 8 V2 and i feel it should be top 5. Appreciate your videos. I always tell people to view and subscribe you videos.

Appreciate that input!!!!! Our SCX24s have been fine. It's the charger that is weak. Everything else is on par or better than the competition which is still in a developmental state. Ready for version 2.0 i'm sure.

Everything comes with a price. If you want everything from the beginning then this little truck would be 200 and maybe we would be talking much about it. I know it isn’t perfect but it got me into the hobby and I heard it did the same for a lot of people now in 2020. SCX24 FTW
@puceater23114 жыл бұрын
I feel what makes the SCX24 good is the aftermarket support and not the truck. Selecting better electronics to make sure it would last for the entry level consumer would have cost Axial/HH another $10 -$15. My point is I don’t think it’s #1 for 2020. Btw Francis, I have the FMS Atlas 6x6 and feel that should in the top 10 or at least honorable mention for 2020. Keep turning out the content. Have a Safe and Happy Holidays!

I have watched a few videos where the KZbinr was under whelmed by wheel weight performance. You might consider upgrading motor also as the brass adds drive train load by adding "rotational inertia" and not just extra weight. * What is rotational inertia? Rotational inertia is a property of any object which can be rotated. It is a scalar value which tells us how difficult it is to change the rotational velocity of the object around a given rotational axis. Rotational inertia plays a similar role in rotational mechanics to mass in linear mechanics. Indeed, the rotational inertia of an object depends on its mass. It also depends on the distribution of that mass relative to the axis of rotation. In simple terms it makes it harder to get the wheels moving and to get them to stop, all that loading goes directly tough the drive train to the motor

I will be eventually upgrading my motor also because I want to run Treal Bead Locks instead of weights.

Guess you have your reasons for the order but can't figure out what your criteria is. Scx10.3 and the Gmade Buffalo are the best performers. The Gatekeeper is a letdown as it comes. Have the Gelande, great vehicle but RC4WD needs some glue that works. Magnets fall out and lights fall apart. Replacement lights special order on the slow boat. Scx24 performs but charger dies, motor and servo burn up. Slight changes would make it great. Try to get parts for the rest.

I want to get the scx 10 2 trail honcho if anybody had any could you give me some ideas with modifications and what you think of them
@jairdabrini3 жыл бұрын
I got one about 3 months ago. Mods: I did spring & shock mod shown on axials website straight out-of-box - it's an easy mod which entails you switching the rear springs to the front & the front springs to the rear n also move forward the rear shock towers + the frame brace piece & flip the left rear shock tower to the right & the right S.T to the left. The holes for the body will line up - you'll just need 2 pcs of really tiny 2-3 mm thick spacers or just not screw in the screws that mount the shocks in the towers all the way in. I recommend tightening all the screws (Allen key) you can access, spec. on the body as I lost one of those on my first trial run. But go over the entire vehicle - I still don't know where I'll get hold of those tiny, black anodized Allen screws. Also the bottom shock clips needs 4 really tiny screws not to shake loose during operation, one for each clip. Knowing what I know now I really regret my purchase of the Honcho, and that is: The drive train is really weak & it'll wear down really fast if you buy n mount alu beadlock wheels that weighs more than the stock plastic wheels & glued tires, so put your doe in brass parts along the axles but not rotating/in the wheel. You can't mount the servo up front with CMS servo mounts and use 3rd party battery tray for lower CoG, like you can on the SCX10 ii raw builders kit. A 550 motor won't fit in it + 2 gears in the transmission are plastic. I bought all the wrong upgrades it seems (alu beadlock wheels, CMS front servo mount, LCG battery tray in carbon fibre, 550 motor 21T) that I can't use on this rtr. If you still decide to get the Honcho just learn from my mistakes and upgrade the drivetrain, plastic cogs, brass steering knuckles etc to steel/alu/brass to add durability & LCG weight, invest in one of those really light lipos (3s 2200mah

Dude your missing one the vs4-10 ultra came out in January of 2020 that would crush all the trucks on your video

That was. a miss for sure. I have the Origin and the Pro and those have been award winners. That price though gives it a tough wall to climb especially with those stock tires.

Some pretty good rigs. I have the Axial Gladiator. To me it’s a disappointment. Too much torque twist out of the box. Too heavy flops too easy. Poor crawling. Poor dig servo. My dig servo failed 2 battery. Hobby store warrantied it and stated they have had to replace it on every one they sold.

I want that eggplant purple truck so bad bro. I feel kinda greedy and bad. worlds burning down around me and all I can think about is an RC truck. I already know I can't afford one and hope I'm not hounding people for one too bad lol. sxc24 would be an ok sub. purples my color so I will be trying to get one, no I will have one.

In my opinion there is nothing to compare cars 1/10 with 1/24 and crawlers with Scales, and how to compare ferraris with jeep

Can't really make separate lists for each size right? And doesn't each magazine name a car of the year?? :)

Too many minis! 🤮 No Trailrunner? 🤔

Sry man, it was the year of the mini’s. Lol. They really changed the game up in the crawling world. If I don’t have one u really really should get one. Scx24 c10 is my recommendation fir u 100%. So much fun. Have a good one.

@@sitlos. mini suck. I have ZERO interest in them. Waaaaay to many great 10th scale offerings to even bother w/ those tiny little things.
@sitlos.4 жыл бұрын
@@dezfan 1/10 scales are great. I own a few but it’s ur loss if u dont wanna enjoy a mini crawler. Fun around the house on rainy days. Fun at office and even can be fun in the bedroom. Lol. To each their own. ✌️

@@sitlos. To each their own indeed. I’ve been crawling since 2005 and and know what I like. Minis ain’t it. Not impressed or interested in any way, shape, or form.

Weird list. Don’t agree with many and their placement.
