I thought you might like it if I came back and commented a few weeks later with results. I don't think my TMD was extreme, but I was getting discomfort, aching, twinges and shooting pains, even what felt like sensitive teeth (?!). It was deep in my jaw, and even felt like there was a sinus problem. You can imagine I was worried, I went to the Doctor twice thinking I had neuralgia and was told no! So what was going on I thought?! I have been doing these excercises for about 3 weeks, twice a day, and I must stress I've been doing them quite firmly, straining the muscles. At first it actually felt like I might be making it a little worse, I would get the twinges and tooth twinges reliably shortly after (1-2 hours) but it makes sense looking back that it would feel that way considering what I was doing. I may well have slightly sensitive teeth, just using a sensitive toothpaste now, but the TMD was aggravating it. Now, three weeks later, I'm no longer waking up in the night, no longer struggling to get to sleep, no longer anxious when I'm sitting quietly that I'm going to be hit with a pain. It was clear very early on that these excercises were somehow connected to the discomfort I was feeling. And the massages are great for instand relief. I do a little massage straight after excercising. The sheer joy of feeling like I'm actually in control of it! I'm almost completely better but I will continue to do them. One last thing I must mention, the lip nibbling! I don't think I can underestimate how much that was messing up my jaw, I did it constantly. Stop!

You guys were a life saver for me. For over a year I couldn't even open my mouth enough to chew food and I was in pain all the time. I came upon this video and gave your exercises a try. Believe it or not, after only doing them once I already felt relief. Within a month I was totally pain free and remained so for over 6 months now. I have never had anything work so fast and with such amazing results. Thanks so much!

Amazing thank you so much! I have had horrendous morning headaches for many years. Been to a neurologist, waste of time. Ended up having TMJ with pain going into my neck and down into my arm/shoulder. Once that pain settled down I did further research and found you. I may be speaking too soon but since doing your exercises I have had no morning headaches, on Day 5 now. This could be a life changer for me! Thank you.

Thank you. I have finally been able to see a specialist about my jaw pain, headache, teeth ache etc. They gave me one of these to do and skipped the rest to start with. They didn't explain it that well though. Thanks to you I now understand the exercises and why they didn't start me on the others yet. They also forgot to stress the posture part. Thank you. The massage has helped me stay sane in wait for the specialist in the first place. This video helps me understand more.

Dentists can cause this by removing teeth which changes your bite and can cause clenching and arthritis in your jaw (tmj)

Dentist here. My left TMJ (MVA) was sprained and caused disfunction to the point that my entire mandible was tilted and shifted to the right. I had several different treatment modalities addressing this issue but doing these exercises almost completely corrected the issue after one repetition of these exercises. I will do them for the next 3 or 4 weeks and will update. Thanks and all the best to you both!

I've got dislocations twice. I will be hooking onto these exercises for life. Never want to experience them again. Thank you so much sir. I am also applying regenrative energy healing in my disc, ligaments, tmj muscles, and all surrounding areas. My childhood habit of clenching probably ruined my tmj. First day of energy healing felt like 80% of my jaw flexibility given back to me. It's to be done for few months. Combination of these things will be rewarding to my jaws. Though medical science (both my parents being doctors) does not really approve on role of energy in our body's healing, I just thought of sharing.

Today, my TMJ and bruxism are completely gone and my hubby says he doesn`t hear me grind anymore. Moreover, I don’t recall having to bite painfully anymore and my teeth looked healthier than ever before. This TMJ treatment t.co/s5Or7HLh0w is indeed a life saver. After four nights, I certainly .observed that my face pain and jaw had dramatically deceased..

Thanks Bob and Brad. I love your vids. I've suffered from a clicky jaw for over 20 years since some childhood dentist work. It's never really bothered me before but for the last month it's really aching, as well as my neck. Also had a few headaches. I'm on anti-inflammatorys but these exercises are really good, especially the tongue at the roof of the mouth. Massage is great too. Hope I won't needs the meds for too long!

Watching as many of your videos on TMJ that I can find. Although I have experienced the muscular pain all my life, this is my first experience with a locked jaw. After visiting my dentist in an excruciating 3 hours ordeal I came away with a locked jaw. That was 5 weeks ago. I will be following your advice. I hope I have success soon. It is very painful. Just do you feel better, you are both loved/liked. Now carry on!!! Be blessed by God daily.

holy s***. It worked within 5 min of excercising TMJ muscles. I've been having some pain in my right TMJ and it has gotten worse to the point today that I couldn't chew food. I couldnt open my mouth because it hurt and it felt really stiff to open. Saw this vid and did some excerises from it. Was skeptical at first but I OPENED MY JAW easily. I's still inflammed so it hurt a little but holy crap it worked.

The TMJ can cause crazy crazy things. I went to the doctor because my ears were ringing and I was having trouble hearing. Turns out my muscle was so tight it was making my ears ring, and the hearing loss was a separate probably but unrelated to TMJ.

NikkiBerk I'm clear about the toxic aspect. It truly is a situation of the best of two evils. I've broken three teeth due to the night time pressure. I wear a night guard. My jaw muscles stand out from my neck like a football player because they work so much. And I can't open my mouth more than an inch and a half-POST Botox!!!! I meditate, get massages, exercise to tame stress, yet here I am, seeking SOME relief!!

slotortoise61 I'm actually having really acute pain and I'm considering Botox myself to stop the spasms while I work on my OCD which makes me bite my lips constantly. How did it work for you? How long did it work for and did it really relieve you? Was it worth the risk?
@slotortoise6166

Nasty Millenial yes. It really worked for me. I had relief before I left the office! I have gone 8 months between, but for me it should be 6 months. Don't let them talk you into something more frequent!!! You will know when it is time to go back! Don't just go to anyone. Sometimes a dermatologist's office has someone on staff who does it regularly. Where do they do they place the shots? They will ask you to clinch and follow the muscle to the bottom of the clinch along your jaw. Three tiny shots on each side--MINIMUM dose!!!! DO NOT RUB or touch you jaw area at all.....I use a 24 hr rule. You do not want to spread the dose anywhere that it shouldn't be!! This is where the risk is, in my mind. If you move it to areas that alter your smile, etc. that is not good. I have NEver had trouble, but I go to a licensed P.A. who works with a surgeon. After the dose I can still bite down well enough to eat anything I want, it just isn't with the same pressure that broke three teeth! 🦋 This is not to say that I don't use the exercises shown here!!! I do them nearly every day!!! This is just another tool for relief. I wish you well!
