So I need some guidance, I’m new to ark and gone straight in for PvP because it’s what I play, I got myself a pyromane and had a few players on argies trying to get me. I used the pyromane leap to attack a landed Argi, I got maybe 1 or 2 melee strikes before I got dismounted from my pyro…. Argie player still mounted and hadn’t even taken off. This happened 2 or 3 different fights as I ran away after getting dismounted. How can they be dismounting me so quickly when I have the jump on them? I thought the pyro is meant to be OP, I can’t see this when I can’t seem to stay on the back of it for more than 2 seconds in a fight. What could they have possibly be doing to dismount me so quickly each time, or what am I doing wrong?

I am not fully aware of the situation. But there are some options. 1. People can be picked from dinos using an Argy. So they could have picked you up and immediatly dropped you to unmount you. 2. Graples unmount players if they hit the player. 3. Whips but i could need more details to fully see the issue

Thanks for the swift reply, the Argi never took off so I don’t think I got picked. I guess it could be a grapple or a whip but it was literally like 2 seconds after I jumped them from behind. Wish I recorded it….. they seemed too rubbish to be using whips and grapples but who knows, they done it at least 3 times to me when I attacked them

A lot of spam so enemies cannot place it, avoiding 6 times because it becomes much more tedious, hiding in ratholes, forcefield - there are some methods but it kinda depends.
