I think Simon tried to spread the love among several wrestlers and most of the choices lean more heavily on the entertainment part of "sports entertainment" so I think that's probably why we didn't see it here. Ospreay alone has had 4 or 5 matches this year that could have made the list, including the ones against Michael Oku and Speedball Mike Bailey, but a list full of Ospreay isn't going to get the love or engagement WC wants. Honestly, I'd probably take off Sami vs. Gunther and put Ospreay vs. Takeshita there. It was so good and just so hard hitting.

I liked osprey vs. Takeshita more than I did him and Danielson. And I freaking loved the Danielson match. I was more hyped for the latter but the former just blew my mind. Also agree with the sting pick. He’s my all time favorite to see him go out like that gave me all the feels

Generally for me the two Bryan matches and the Gunther vs Zayn match would have been my top 3. I absolutely adore that type of match. And Bryan is my GOAT. But the Cody vs reigns match as a spectacle was unmatched
