Whilst some will argue whether wrestling is 'fake' or 'predetermined', the WWE certainly treat the past like it's fake and can be re-written. Take that HHH vs Taker WM match. I think that the Divas Title to Women's Title is only counted as one title reign for Charlotte, since Charlotte was the Divas Champion going into WrestleMania 32, where Lita introduced the then-new Women's Championship, and Charlotte won that match. Thus, since she was champion going into WrestleMania and walked out technically still as champion, even though the title she held was different, there was really no real gap between the two titles for her.

@@Segwo Hogan called it _both_ things during that original promo at Bash at the Beach. To start with he gets it perfectly correct, calling it the "New World Order of wrestling, brother" - but then he refers to "that organisation up north" (i.e. the WWF) about five times in quick succession. So I think he'd probably just got the word stuck in his head by the time he mentions the nascent nWo twice more towards the end of the promo, and thus each time mistakenly calls it the "New World Organisation". It was definitely a simple mistake on his part, though: the word was always meant to be "Order" because the idea of a "new world order" was a thing already.

When WWE(F) was anti-Bret Hart the ladder match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart got retconned in favour of the narrative that the first ladder match was Shawn Michaels VS Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania 10.
