People are going to criticize Cultaholic for having Goldberg vs Brock in this list, but I will take a shocking result moment over a great wrestling match with no buildup or storyline. Survivor Series 2016 was definitely one of the better survivor series shows we have had.

Yeah. It was fantastic to see Goldberg just being Goldberg again. Of course, I quickly grew tired of Goldberg in 2017 just like I had grown tired of his weekly squashes in 1998.

That match was genius and I'll die on that hill. At that time we rarely ever saw opponents get a fair amount of offense against brock, let alone fucking SQAUSH HIM. My mom burst into my room to see what the commotion was 🤣🤣🤣 i lost my mind.

2016 was high key a great year. Had survivor series, aj styles debut&wwe champ, KO world champ, him and Jericho storyline. A high point from a string of bad years to follow and before hand

i stopped watching wrestling in 2019, not for any cause, just slowly went and moved on, in fact how things looked in 2023/24 i always say i have to go back anyway a remember i always carry with me though is people chanting "heyheyhey sheamus and cesaro heyheyhey" before they were the bar lol, lovely chaps

That Lesnar-Goldberg match at WMXX is one of my favorite trainwreck matches of all time. I've never been a HBK guy ( Team Bret ) but his 2nd run in WWE from 2002 on was imo, way better than his first. Not only cementing his legacy but somehow surpassing it.

Also, good lord yall need to get over your Goldberg hate in this chat! Lesnar vs Goldberg at both Survivor Series 2016 and Mania 33 were super fun and what they needed to be. Like them or not, Lesnar and Goldberg delivered 2 shoet but sweet BANGERS!

Minor error I noticed for absolutely no good reason: WrestleMania 27 was Edge's last *televised* match before his forced retirement. Cagematch lists him in a dark match after the SmackDown taping two nights later, where he won alongside Christian, Rey, Big Show, and Triple H against Del Rio and The Corre (so, the most 2011 dark match possible). Whichever you measure against, I'm glad it wasn't the end of the story.

The Mania Night 1 tag match surprised me so much. A lot of my interest/hype around it was Final Boss Rock and the great social media promos he cut. I was even in the crowd in Phoenix when he correct pointed out how much meth and crack is smoked in that city 😂!

Anyone complaining in any way about Goldberg vs Brock is just complaining to complain. That shock moment was awesome cause it was possible we just never thought it was against Brock and they proved us wrong and it made the final one mean so much more as well even though we knew the outcome

WrestleMania XXV(25) or The 25th Anniversary Of WrestleMania took place on Sunday April 5, 2009 in Houston, Texas, while Backlash 2009(the last annual Backlash pay-per-view ever until it was revived in September 2016) took place on Sunday April 26, 2009. The next month, which was May 2009, was the Judgment Day pay-per-view, the final WWE Judgment Day pay-per-view ever. Even though it was a 3-on-1 Handicap match, it's not classified as a return match since this list consists of singles & tag team return matches.

@@nickmontoya3001 I assume that you meant that the singles match, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs Chris Jericho, at Backlash 2009 should be on the video list. If so, Cultaholic probably didn't place that match on the list because that was the last time that Ricky Steamboat competed in a WWE match of any kind.

@@jodawa2504 well I mean WM was his return, cuz I mean hardys returned in fatal 4 way ladder match, plus the police reaction Ricky got and his ability to keep up with Jericho where Snuka/Piper were (no offense to them) just shells of their former selves. So the one of the matches should of been atleast an honorable mention

The fact Bob Backlund's return in 1992 isn't included shows that you have no respect for integrity, discipline, honesty, principles, purity, sincerity, stability, totality, coherence, and many more words taken from a thesaurus!
