I honestly think Joe gets paid or gets talking points from the UFC for his podcast. He was all in on Ronda Striking, Jon Jones being innocent, Frances Ngannou being unstoppable, Conor would beat Mayweather if he was allowed to clinch and dirty box, Brock Lesnar, he is always hyping up who the UFC wants him to.

It's insane how heated Khabib vs Conor was. I've been watching PPV's with the same group for a decade now and it's the only time we've ever been truly divided and damn near threw fists at the end of the fight. The only thing that stopped us was seeing the riot break out on live TV. Seems childish now but we got pretty invested into the rivalry to a point that we still actively avoid discussing the fight to prevent problems. Lol

It probably would have looked liked Fedor vs Matt Lindland, but still, that would have been such a badass fight... Randy has been counted out so many times, and ended up surprising everyone, I wouldn't bet against him (even though I would have rooted for my idol Fedor of course, had the fight actually happened).
@alanguages4 жыл бұрын
I would believe it, if it was in the ring. In the cage is a different story, since Randy had a tendency to hold people onto the cage. The cage and UFC type of rules favoured wrestlers. Pride rules was better, as it prevented a lot of stalling.
@randallflagg37004 жыл бұрын
@@alanguages - Randy was indeed a beast when it came to use of the cage. Not as flashy as Anthony Pettis, but very efficient. Remember when Gonzaga was suppose to be the new breed of HWs in MMA, "a BJJ beast with insane high-kicks" is how he was perceived, there was a lot of talk about him being the one to beat Fedor... Then Couture bullied him against the cage the whole fight, broke his nose with one of the take-downs against it, and won via exhaustion. Fedor would have had trouble against Randy in the cage, but the Russian has a much, much more dangerous submission game from the bottom (compared to Gonzaga) so it could have easily ended like for his 2 fights against Mark Coleman.

2:48 Dana said yesterday that gsp never wanted to fight silva
@AprehamLincoln4 жыл бұрын
Dana says a lot of things though, especially about GSP. Here's a few things off the top of my head. He said GSP was at the hospital after the Hendricks fight, right before GSP forced his way to the press conference through security that tried to prevent him from showing up. Saying women would never join the UFC, and then acting like anyone with that view was a maniac. Saying GSP was coming back, then not coming back, then he didn't want to fight ever again (right before GSP came back and won the belt from Bisping). His numerous flip-flops on TRT. The UFC was apparently not for sale (sale gets announced immediately). Saying GSP, Silva and Jones are all the greatest fighter ever. I think at one point he said Jones would never fight for the UFC again after one of his incidents. Yeah, Dana talks a lot of shit about a lot of people, but is usually quiet as a mouse when they're present. I think a big part of why the superfight never happened is because GSP was fighting in possibly the most stacked division in history and had a new challenger every week. Silva had cleaned out 185 and there weren't really any stars left worth fighting, but 170 was absolutely loaded with guys that deserved a shot at gold. The timing would have only made sense after the Hendricks fight, but GSP had just gotten the shit kicked out of him by a juiced up Bigg Rigg and clearly had no passion for fighting anymore.

Cormier losing to Stipe the second time after winning 3 rounds was pretty sad. I felt like the Cormier from 2010-2018would have won easily in that second fight where the older Cormier's cardio was a little more suspect
@Godzilla524 жыл бұрын
@Xftbllplyr I feel like judging from the last fight, he could have made a couple of adjustments and still won, but he got too focused on brawling, which detracted from the rest of his gameplan. Though yeah, I don't think this would have happened if Cormier stuck to his original gameplan and retired after he was 40. He's still a top tier fighter, but the second Stipe fight for me was the first clear sign for me in the Octagon that Cormier isn't in his prime anymore.
