The "giant monitor lizard" in 1,000,000 BC was an iguana and not created using stop-motion, it was a matte shot. The King Kong (1933) clip you showed was actually part of the "lost" Spider Pit sequence that was cut from the film; the lizard you referred to was the one climbing the vine to get at Jack Driscoll after Kong threw down a log. Come on, you're better than this I hope.
