It doesn’t matter what skin type Jesus was, what matters the most is the way he showed us to live, which is way more important than any skin color or anything else for that matter. Why is it that everyone seems to want to own Jesus and claim Him as their own, when in reality, Jesus is for all of us and not just for one culture or one race of people? Jesus’s teachings is what really counts, including the way we should all live by being kind and caring people towards each other, besides with all life in general. All life is connected to each other and belongs to God/Allah, so all of it should be given the respect and dignity it deserves and thank God/Allah for it. This honors God/Allah more than any rituals.

True, His message is what's important. but truth is people from that area and time were brown to black, not blond and blue eyed as many depictions of Jesus are shown mainly since the reformation. There are many Black Madonnas with Black baby Jesus all over Europe going back hundreds of years until the reformation. It was to the advantage of Europeans to make them "superior" and favored by God over Africans during the terrible time of the slave trade.

The reason the Romans would have gambled for the robe of Jesus surely is because of who he claimed to be (i.e. the messiah) and not because of the material value. They were probably proud of what happened or they believed happened to him at their hands.

Then christian should hail the roman as hero for their salvation.
@Deoxribonucleic
@Deoxribonucleic 3 жыл бұрын
@@galrayzt why would Christians hail the Romans as heroes for their salvation? They would have and do resent Romans for killing their beloved savior. He had to die for them to have their sins forgiven according to them but that wouldn't make the ones who killed him heroes. Murder is murder and the murder of the central figure of one's religion is never hailed as a good thing to the followers. And if your saying that the death of Jesus was just a good thing period then I take it you are not actually a Muslim and are just an atheist because even in Islam is Jesus (Isa) held to be beloved of God, born of a virgin mother, able to speak as an infant, and brought directly to heaven without dying. It's right in the Quran, so if you are Muslim you may not want to talk bad about him. But if you just mean that Christians should like the Romans because they crucified him and his dying meant their salvation then I do see what you mean but its not the case. They believe that he had to be killed for their sins to be forgiven yet they blame people for killing him; it definitely seems contradictory but Christians are just so devoted to Jesus that they hate the idea of him hurting.

@Deoxribonucleic

@@galrayzt I do absolutely see what you are saying, and I've had this idea come up before but never put a significant amount of thought into it. To a non-Christian or someone with a more Eastern upbringing and worldview specifically it would make total sense that they would be glad that the Romans killed him but they see the forgiving of sins in the death of Jesus as a gift from God and not from the Romans. They would perhaps be more receptive to your point if the Romans had chosen a more merciful way of executing Jesus but the Romans really treated him terribly. So they are grateful for Jesus dying for their sins but not for the Romans themselves killing him. How could anyone hold the person or people who tortured their most beloved person ever as a hero, regardless of who those people may be? If the Romans killed Jesus because they believed themselves that it meant salvation for all then perhaps they would glorify them to some extent, but the Romans simply did it purely out of malice so its completely understandable that Christians don't hold the Romans in high regards.

What did Jesus mean when he said he had not come to bring peace but a sword? “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law- a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ Matthew 10:34‭-‬36 The sword is NOT a LITERAL sword but a SPIRITUAL sword . The sword is the word of God: "And take the helmet of salvation, and the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD of God:" Ephesians 6:17 In fact, when Peter took up a literal sword to defend Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus rebuked him and told him to put away his sword, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword” (Matthew 26:52). Jesus never intended his word to be spread by the sword. Only false prophets like Muhammad would kill by the sword and think they are doing their god a service: "They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. John 16:2 What does the Qur'an say? 8:12. (It was the time) when your Lord revealed to the angels (to convey to the believers), ‘I am with you;’ (and He commanded the angels) to make those who believe stand firm and fast, and ‘(O believers!) I will indeed strike terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So smite on (your enemy’s) necks and above these (- on their heads) and strike off all their fingertips.’ Conflict must arise between the two groups, and this happens within a family in which some are believers and others are not. We should seek to be at peace with all men but should never forget that Jesus warned we will be hated for His sake. Because those who reject Jesus hate him, they will hate His followers as well (John 15:18) including family members.

For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.” Luke 22:35‭-‬37 Friend, why is it that an hour later Jesus told his disciples to put away their swords? Jesus gave notice of a very great change of circumstances now approaching. The disciples must not expect that their friends would be kind to them as they had been. Therefore, he that has a purse, let him take it, for he may need it. They must now expect that their enemies would be more fierce than they had been, and they would need weapons. At the time the apostles understood Christ to mean real weapons, but he spake only of the weapons of the spiritual warfare. The sword of the Spirit is the sword with which the disciples of Christ must furnish themselves.”(Matthew Henry commentary) In the next verse, Jesus goes on to explain that scripture must be fulfilled. Luke 22:37 says, “For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ’And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.” Here, Jesus is quoting from Isaiah 53:12, which predicts that Jesus would be “numbered with the transgressors.” Why would Jesus be telling his disciples to buy literal swords if he was saying that the scriptures stated that he would be killed and be numbered with the transgressors?

@@Panzerdeath The background is the Jewish people calling upon God to exact revenge upon their military enemies. Psalm 137 is in the context of the Jewish exile in Babylon (Psalm 137:1) where they had been taken as slaves after the Babylonians burned down the city of Jerusalem. The Jews in exile were then told to “sing us one of the songs of Zion!” (Psalm 137:1), adding further humiliation and frustration to a defeated people. Then in verse 9, the psalmist adds further detail to this cry for revenge, claiming, “Happy is the one” who kills the infants of their enemy. The desire is graphically stated, but it is simply a call for the destruction of the entire nation-the nation that had enslaved the Jews, killed their babies, and destroyed their city. The psalms are songs that express intense emotions, a statement such as “Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks” should not shock us. The writer did not intend to go out and kill babies; rather, he desired justice, which required the death of his enemies. Even today, those who have lost loved ones at the hands of others understandably desire the death of those who committed the crime. Peace Be With You My Friend☺️🙏🏻❤️✨

My only question is - what is the Greek word that would be used to specify Jesus as a carpenter? You mention that the word used, tekton, means craftsman. Being a vague word, it could be feasible to say that a tekton who is the step-son of a carpenter would also be a carpenter. Considering the possibility that anyone reading the original Greek language version would know that Joseph was a carpenter. To give an example in the modern day - to say that 'Gordon Ramsay's oldest daughter took classes and studied in the 'service' industry' - one would assume in that statement that Gordon Ramsay, a well known chef, would have had some influence on his daughters course of study, and being a chef falls into the realm of 'service'. And if the fact was that she wasn't a chef, they would identify her accordingly. 'Gordon' Ramsay's oldest daughter took classes and studied to become a housekeeper.' I don't mean to say you are wrong, I'm just curious about the language specifics in the original Greek.

There are others who used ropes, etc. The example the 2 others had their legs broken (to accelerate their deaths) If you retitled this "10 lies you are spreading about Jesus" Please improve your research.

I don't find any nails in Luke's Gospel about Jesus being crucified specifically by nails. But it Does mention multiple times Jesus being nailed to the cross in Paul the apostles letters. He converted VERY early after the resurrection of Jesus and wrote a creed that the majority of scholars today date within 5 years of Jesus's death.

All four Gospels record Jesus as saying, “Blessed are the peace-makers; they will be called sons of God.” The word ‘son’ cannot be accepted literally because in the Bible, God apparently addresses many of his chosen servants as ‘son’ and ‘sons.’ The Hebrews believed God is One, and had neither wife nor children in any literal sense. Therefore, it is obvious the expression ‘son of God’ merely meant ‘Servant of God’; one who, because of faithful service, was close and dear to God as a son is to his father. Christians who came from a Greek or Roman background, later misused this term. In their heritage, ‘son of God’ signified an incarnation of a god or someone born of a physical union between male and female gods. This can be seen in Acts 14: 11-13, where we read that when Paul and Barnabas preached in a city of Turkey, pagans claimed they were gods incarnate. They called Barnabas the Roman god Zeus, and Paul the Roman god Hermes. Furthermore, the New Testament Greek word translated as ‘son’ are ‘pias’ and ‘paida’ which mean ‘servant,’ or ‘son in the sense of servant.’ These are translated to ‘son’ in reference to Jesus and ‘servant’ in reference to all others in some translations of the Bible. So, consistent with other verses, Jesus was merely saying that he is God’s servant. Additional problems with Trinity To a christian, God had to take human form to understand temptation and human suffering, but the concept is not based on any clear words of Jesus. In contrast, God does not need to be tempted and suffer in order to be able to understand and forgive man’s sins, for He is the all knowing Creator of man. This is expressed in the verse: ‘And the Lord said: ‘I have surely seen the affliction of My people that are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their pains.’ (Exodus 3:7) God forgave sin before Jesus’ appearance, and He continues to forgive without any assistance. When a believer sins, he may come before God in sincere repentance to receive forgiveness. Indeed, the offer to humble oneself before God and be saved is made to all humankind. ‘And there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside Me. Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else.’ (Isaiah 45:21-22, Jonah 3:5-10) Biblically, people can receive forgiveness of sins through sincere repentance sought directly from God. This is true at all times and in all places. There has never been a need for the so-called inter cessionary role Jesus plays in attaining atonement. The facts speak for themselves. There is no truth to the Christian belief that Jesus died for our sins and salvation is only through Jesus. What about the salvation of people before Jesus? Jesus’ death brings neither atonement from sin, nor is it in any way a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Christians claim that in the birth of Jesus, there occurred the miracle of the incarnation of God in the form of a human being. To say that God became truly a human being invites a number of questions. Let us ask the following about the man-God Jesus. What happened to his foreskin after his circumcision (Luke 2:21)? Did it ascend to heaven, or did it decompose as with any human piece of flesh? During his lifetime what happened to his hair, nails, and blood shed from wounds? Did the cells of his body die as in ordinary human beings? If his body did not function in a truly human way, he could not be truly human as well as truly God. Yet, if his body functioned exactly in a human way, this would nullify any claim to divinity. It would be impossible for any part of God, even if incarnate, to decompose in any way and still be considered God. The everlasting, one God, in whole or in part, does not die, disintegrate, or decompose: ‘For I the Lord do not change.’ (Malachi 3:6) Did Jesus’ flesh dwell in safety after his death? Unless Jesus’ body never underwent ‘decay’ during his lifetime he could not be God, but if it did not undergo ‘decay’ then he was not truly human. Bible says that God is not man ‘God is not a man’ (Numbers 23: 19) ‘For I am God, and not man’ (Hosea 11:9) Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible ‘a man who has told you the truth’ (John 8:40) ‘Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22) ‘He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed’ (Acts 17:31) ‘the man Christ Jesus’ (Tim. 2:5) The Bible says that God is not a son of man ‘God is not a man nor a son of man’ (Numbers 23: 19) The Bible often calls Jesus ‘a son of man’ or ‘the son of man.’ ‘so will the son of man be’ (Matthew 12:40) ‘For the son of man is going to come’ (Matthew 16:27) ‘until they see the son of man coming in His kingdom.’ (Matthew 28) ‘But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority’ (Mark 2:10) ‘because he is the son of man’ (John 5:27) In the Hebrew scriptures, the ‘son of man’ is also used many times speaking of people (Job 25:6; Psalm 80:17; 144:3; Ezekiel 2:1; 2:3; 2:6-8; 3:1-3).Since God would not contradict Himself by first saying He is not the son of a man, then becoming a human being who was called ‘the son of man’, he would not have done so. Remember God is not the author of confusion. Also, human beings, including Jesus, are called ‘son of man’ specifically to distinguish them from God, who is not a ‘son of man’ according to the Bible. The Bible says that Jesus denied he is God Jesus spoke to a man who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19) And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17) Jesus did not teach people that he was God If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God. The Bible says that God is greater than Jesus ‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28) ‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29) Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him. The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus. Jesus never instructed his disciples to worship him ‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2) ‘In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.’ (John 16:23) ‘The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.’ (John 4:23) If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God. Jesus worshipped the only true God ‘that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ (John 17:3) ‘he continued all night in prayer to God.’ (Luke 6:12) ‘Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve’ (Matthew 20:28) How did Jesus pray to God? ‘he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father’ (Matthew 26:39) ‘During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.’ (Hebrews 5:7) Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to ‘the only true God.’ Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God? The Quran confirms that Jesus called for the worship of the Only True God: “It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.” (Quran 3:51) Disciples did not believe Jesus was God The Acts of the Apostles in the Bible details the activity of the disciples over a period of thirty years after Jesus was raised to heaven. Throughout this period, they never referred to Jesus as God. For instance Peter stood up with the eleven disciples and addressed a crowd saying: ‘Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22) For Peter, Jesus was a servant of God (Confirmed In Matthew 12:18) ‘The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.’ (Acts 3:13) ‘God raised up his servant’ (Acts 3:26) When faced by opposition from the authorities, Peter said ‘We must obey God rather than men! The God of our fathers raised Jesus’ (Acts 5:29-30) The disciples prayed to God just as they were commanded by Jesus in Luke 11:2, and considered Jesus to be God’s servant. ‘they raised their voices together in prayer to God. ‘Sovereign Lord,’ they said, ‘you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.’ (Acts 4:24) ‘your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.’ (Acts 4:27) ‘of Your holy servant Jesus.’ (Acts 4:30) ‘I am indeed a servant of God.’ (Quran 19:30) Jesus was God’s servant ‘Behold, My servant, whom I have chosen, in whom My soul is well pleased.’ (Matt 12: 18) Since Jesus is God’s servant, Jesus can not be God.

We have no contemporary accounts written by anyone that actually knew Christ. The earliest accounts come from Paul, who never met Christ and Jesus died decades before his conversion. There are literally several dozens of other epistles and gospels that are known to have been written but excluded from the Biblical canon because of politics within the early church and the direction they wanted to take Christianity. In other words, they contradicted the Biblical canon settled on by early church leaders. There were many different forms of competing Christianity for centuries.

~ The custom of crucifixion of Jews by the Romans was at first by driving spike nails thru the individual heel bones, one on either side of the single crucifix stud, & then thru the palms of the hands, one over the other. However this method proved faulty since the stud would tend to weaken & break at the points of the heels , & the palms would not fully support the weight of the suspended body for prolonged periods of time. So some Jews were actually able to escape, either with or without help, if left unattended, although severely impaired for the rest of their life. ~ But as crucifixions became bigger business & more commonplace, crucifix crosses, the practice of driving a single spiked nail thru the joined feet, one over the other, & the driving of the spiked nails thru the individual wrists became more typical & usual. As well of the practice of making sure the crucified were fully deceased, by piercing of the spleen.

Hello. Hope you wouldn't mind a bit of observation i have. It's just that there seems to be a bit of confusion with your "#4 Jesus was fixed to cross by nails". Since you're talking about "10 Biggest Lies..." , then following that logic you are saying that the belief/idea that "Jesus was fixed to cross by nails" is a lie. However you were not able to show that it was a lie, merely that it may have been possible that he was fixed to the cross not by nails ONLY but perhaps by ropes as well. Also, in the biblical verse you cited, where Thomas was doubting that Jesus had risen, and he mentioned that "unless i see the NAIL MARKS in his hands..." (capitalization mine), it clearly states that nails were driven through his hands -- which is why Thomas said "nail marks in his hands". May the peace of the Lord be with you. Thank you.

From my research, there was no "CROSS," the Romans didn't crucify using that, but it was actually a much harsher method (Hands above his head, where he had to raise his body up to speak).The Cross is Catholicism influence, what have you researched?

Alot of historians in Christian time stated that some Christians are nailed to a cross as a form of punishment, theit one skeleton believed to be from a Cheristian crusified, his ankle bone joint has a nail pierced through it sugesting that ankle joints are nalied at opposite side of the tree instead of the feet. And the way a person dies on the is by suffocation. Restricting air flow through the lungs and making it collapse due to body weight. Sometimes soldiers would break the legs to make the person incapasitate to support his body upright.

#4 - Nails would have held him up just fine if they were driven through his wrists. Nails in the hands would have torn free and allowed him to fall. This is a fact the Romans would have known as they REALLY liked crucifying their enemies.

Actually the only evidence of crucifixion found is a foot with a nail in it. You would think if it was a widespread punishment there would be more bones found with nails.

Jesus (peace be upon him) was not crucified. It was a traitor whom God made to resemble Jesus pbuh. Jesus pbuh was raised to heaven by God. Near the end of the world, Jesus pbuh will decend to earth again to break the cross and declare that he is not the son of God. And he will kill dajal aka anti-christ the great deceiver. He will rule as a Muslim and die just like a normal person. Come judgement day everyone including all prophets will be raised again. God will the judge us for our good deeds and wrongs. Only God determines who will go to heaven and who will go to hell. For the disbelievers hell fire is waiting for them. Hope this explains. Thank you.

Thank you for the insight. One thing to point out concerning the word "cross" many people misconstrue Jesus's cross with His Diciples' cross as the same thing. The Scripture "...take up his "cross" and follow Me..." The Hebrew word used for "cross" here is "mezuzah"-it lireally means "door post". This was famously used concerning the death of the first born in Exodus. "Anoint your door post with blood and when I See the blood I Will Pass Over you." And also in Deut Chapter 6:4 and further down it mentions "write them on your gates (this is plural "mezuz'ot". The word mezuzah/mezuz'ot is mentioned several times in Psalm 24. "Be lifted up ye gates and The Glory Of The LORD Shall Come In..." It's safe to say that What Jesus Was Actually Saying concerning His Disciples' "cross" is this: "Take up the door post of your heart, Anoint it With My Blood, Follow Me And I Will Come In. Forgive me if it looks like I'm Preaching. Just Sharing Insight. Shalom Elechem---Peace Be Unto You.😎❤😎

Jewish homes did back then, and still do affix a Mezuzah to our door posts as commanded. What is contained in a Mezuzah is a hand written parchment citing the commandment. It is an acknowledgement of the Over all power of the Lord who guards our going and coming.
