Is not Apostles more than what you describe them to be; and , could be the reason you don't agree? The word Apostle means to be an ambassador or a representative; but, there is more. Apostles start churches. They are the leaders of the church and they are called to appoint positions in the church. Jesus called the 12 to be the first to start churches. They were to take the teachings and trainings to the people. Paul, Apollos, and Timothy was also Apostles. Most of the epistles Paul wrote was to churches he established, moved away and wrote to them based on reports that he heard after he left. He was also training Timothy to be an Apostle; the book of 1 and 2 Timothy is Paul sharing some knowledge to Timothy on how he can become a better Apostle; it is the same situation with Titus where Paul is writing to him. 1 and 2 Peter is letters or epistles to churches he establish most likely, 1, 2, and 3 John, James for the book of James, Jude etc... the apostles would appoint positions and appoint a Pastor to run the church when God called the apostles to build another church.

Although I do agree that it does not matter what color or ethnicity Jesus was; however as an Afro American, growing up I was bombarded with White images of the Christ. Most movies and film strips also depict Him in a white hue. Even in our early Black churches we displayed White images of Christ because that was all that was available during that time. I wonder how many White churches would consider displaying a Black image of the Christ.

What physical evidence exists from any specific individual 2000 years ago who wasn't a major political or military figure? There is archeological evidence of a number of other elements that were written in the four gospels and other books in the New Testament. Why would all four gospels completly fabricate the one central figure about whom those gospels were written when other physical evidence has been found regarding where that figure was born, lived, etc.?

Just a lot of people who were Jews and after 70 AD they were slaughtered so they tried a new form of Judaism called messianism. This prevented their death. If Jesus had actually raised the dead, the Emperor would bring him to Rome to help prevent the death of the Emperor.

I am a white man. I was raised Catholic but converted to fundamental Christian in my teens. I was NEVER taught that Jesus was white. I was never taught that Jesus wrote the new testament. Christmas is practiced by Christians, but it is not actually a Biblical holiday. December 25 is the actual birthday of Osiris, and Christmas has it's roots in paganism.

One thing to add about December 25th being named Jesus' birthday, is that that day was already a big important day in the Mediterranean region, including for Romans and other pagans. Saturnalia was a festival celebrating the turning point of the winter solstice and the beginning of longer days. The Romans celebrated the Sol Invictus, the Unconquered Sun. So it is easy to see that that date was reused to be designated as Jesus' birthday, since the people already knew it as a holiday. There were a lot of other, old Pagan practices that were "converted" over to Christian practices. Christmas trees, for one.

You are absolutely right, except that they were converted for the purpose of hijacking. Early Christians wanted to remove the influence of paganism. Easter (named for Ishtar) was already a Christian holiday as the remembrance of the resurrection after Passover, so they didn’t want to keep the celebration of his birthday in the Spring (which all evidence points to) and shifted it to the winter solstice observation.

The whole bible was written at different times by many scholars and teachers to simply help clarify what was known and how it can best interpreted to give advise and solace to the people at a particular time. Even a single 'Book' in the bible had many things from authors who had no reason to believe what they said would in some way be sacred teachings.The bible as is today was easily much larger stack of stories and teachings until it was cut down to it's now official version. It is and many ways a disjointed mess with contradictions.Things like Adam and Eve are nuts in that if they were the first two humans then their offspring would end up having to sleep with their own brothers and sisters for the human race to survive. Serious scholars in the 'church' itself, of which my own father was one and was surrounded by many more have told me they believe that od actually even exists is because the alternative is unthinkable. The bottom line is all but one message is actually unimportant. Never do anything to someone else that you would hate being done to you. It includes the big and the small stuff. Small stuff like being insensitive to others feelings even when you judged by your standards others feelings are in some way trivial or unjustified. The big stuff is never let others go without. Being smarter or wiser is a gift you never earnt. If you do better in life it is because you were born with the intellect, or genes to accomplish more or make better decisions. Add to that you had some of the right luck along the way.

The world has it backwards, or half right. Roman Catholicism IS pagan. They added the pagan festivals to make would-be Christians become pagan. Only when they made it clear that they would have Pilate crucified for treason and then STILL have Jesus killed did he realize this and wash his hands of the whole affair. Only after the Resurrection did Rome get fully on board against his followers. They were not afraid of the government, they were healing the sick, raising the dead and casting out demons, plus teaching people about their birthright, and power and authority in the name of Jesus, and about their right to a personal relationship with God. People should ask themselves what would make the Almighty Rome so afraid of these people that they would react the way they did. They, along with the Jewish authorities, have been lying to the world about true Christianity all this time, both leading their people far away from it and all it has to give. Your first clue is this John 14:12. They don’t care if people sort of follow Jesus. They definitely don’t want people taking that seriously and taking action on it. So Rome went on to false-flag it with the crusades, and inquisition, and witch trials, and so forth. They had to make people either follow the wrong teachings, and if they weren’t going to do that then they had to make everyone hate what they thought it was. And they’ve been very successful. So in a way, yes, they wanted to make some pagans follow the fake version of Christianity before they could be taught the REAL Christianity, but it was primarily to make sure to lead would be Christians of any prior persuasion away from the true teachings, and headlong into their own paganism, their deities renamed with biblical names. I've never heard a single person say Jesus wrote the New Testament. Jesus would probably have been olive skinned or tanned. He could have had black, brown or red hair; and he probably had brown or grey eyes. We obviously can't say for certain though. Art has often portrayed Jesus in a way the artist understands, so for example white Europeans portray him as white European, black Africans portray him as a black African, Chinese people portray him as Chinese etc.

Calling these “lies” is misleading. Misunderstandings would be more accurate. I’ve never heard anyone say Jesus wrote the New Testament, but it is also inaccurate to say that the Gospels are believed to be eyewitness accounts of the acts and teachings of Jesus. Almost all scholars place Mark as the earliest Gospel, written 60-70 years after the death of Christ. Mathew and Luke lean heavily on Mark in their Gospels.

At least replace the misconception of his existence with "no actual record of his birth at the time it was supposed to happen, especially any roman census records and Jewish temple records written about at the time, and no mention in any written record of ALL of this, until decades after the exclusively word-of-mouth accounts, including when was to have died". And, the misconception that forgets any Jewish person like the jesus persona would have been required to practice midrash that requires Jews to interpret scripture, the Torah, etc., as it applies to society of the day - in this case about 1000 years after it was originally written - as opposed to applying the concept of "gospel" to what the jesus person was supposed to have said. It is very close to the winter solstice. And yes, many festivals in the Christian Church are at times that were important in previous religions. (I hesitate to say "pagan," because that gets a lot of people upset.) The year has two cycles of important festivals, each with four festivals three months apart.
