So great! I love the range of books people have been selecting. The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows sounds especially beautiful! Thank you for including such essential history in the second half, and you've introduced me to a work of Toni Morrison's that I hadn't heard of before. Thank you!

Thank you! The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is wonderful and I think you’d enjoy it. For some reason I keep forgetting that I have Recitatif on my shelf but recording this video has me want to get to it sooner than later.

So glad to have found you through this tag! I read Mansfield Park for Jane Austen July, but PnP is still my favorite.

@@TheLinguistsLibrary hi 👋🏽 what a coincidence I found your channel through the tag as well and love the books you selected and had to subscribe. Thanks for watching!

This is a great list! And thanks for the tag, I’m definitely going to do this for my next video! Also I love Zora Neale Hurston and I have not been able to find her books apart from Their Eyes… at my favourite bookstore. I may need to just special order them because her writing style is just wonderful! Also, Blood at the Root is a ton of fun!

11/22/63 is so interesting! Very complex with details that were really well thought out. I switched back and forth between physical and audio when I read it, which helped me get through it a little faster.

@@jaynehunter-ar planning on starting it this fall. I should’ve read Carrie that way so that I can see the news articles. Only listened on audio

11/22/63 is a good book, much better than the adaptation imo.This is a good variety of books from different genres, love it 🙂 Thanks for another great video 😊

Thank you so much! I haven’t seen the adaptation but I’m glad to hear that the book is better 🙂

Just a suggestion, when you like a cover on a book, give the artist recognition.
@literarylayer3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I never thought of doing that but will try to include it next time. I’m sure the artists don’t get as much credit as they deserve
