Your videos are always great. I'm a bourbon nerd - but I still learn something. Would you ever consider doing product reviews again? The Aged and Ore travel decanter, and the Snute glasses (that I've bought so many of for myself, and gifts) all came from you. You're awesome dude - stay cool.

Absolutely! They are few and far between because I wait for quality gear. And there isn't a ton of stuff out there

So helpful to breakdown the terms that actually have meaning. Cheers!

I love it. I thrive on knowledge like this. I think you do this type of content better than any channel I’m subscribed to. Classic whiskey Dic. Great video!

I just read your comment to my wife. I was just talking about how I need to do more of this type of content

@@TheWhiskeyDictionary definitely! You do it so well. Of course reviews and tastings are good content, but this stuff sets you apart. Cheers 🥃

Nice little break-down of terms that a lot of people don't understand.

You should have early access to today's video as well!
Thanks! I didn't bother setting up chapters this time because I thought the video moved along pretty well, however, you already did the work for me so I suppose I'll add it :)

Saw you on Whiskey Mountains Alzheimers livestream. Then I came across this video. I liked this so I subscribed to your channel.

Great video thanks! I noticed you had one of the newer Eagle Rare bottles and I was hoping you could help me. How do I tell the year my bottle of Eagle Rare was actually bottled? I don't see any markings on the bottle that say 2024, 2023, etc. Am I missing something?
@TheWhiskeyDictionaryАй бұрын
I looked at my two bottles. One of them has a "23" on the bottom, the other has a "14". I can't imagine the 14 is from 2014, but it's possible... unlikely, but possible. What number do you have on the bottom of your bottle?
@BigIvyBonsaiАй бұрын
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Mine has a "22" so like you mentioned, I guess it's possible that represents the year. Its interesting they don't have some kind of date on the labeling.
@TheWhiskeyDictionaryАй бұрын
Many don't unless it's a single barrel. They don't want to highlight that something has been sitting on a shelf for a while.
@BigIvyBonsaiАй бұрын
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Good to know. Thanks
@TheWhiskeyDictionaryАй бұрын
The one I have that says 14 was actually a single barrel pick, so it may have been an older bottle they used. I think its reasonable to assume those numbers are the year

I am disappointed with this video. I knew pretty much everything here, other than the term wheated bourbon... It was wheated bourbon, right? Not breaded...
@TheWhiskeyDictionaryАй бұрын
I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what you thought of this video. Making educational videos are tough as my audience ranges from people holding a bottle of JW Blue and wondering if it's worth the price, to people who daily sip committee releases. This was definitely meant to be an introductory video to bourbon terms, but no worries... more to come!
@PsychotyzmАй бұрын
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary please do not take this as a criticism. I am fairly well versed in the world of whisky in general. I just decided to comment by praising myself for knowing a lot of stuff 😂 Please, keep doing what you doing. I very much enjoy your videos, even if you explain things I know, cause there are people, who don't know and it's super educational for them.
@TheWhiskeyDictionaryАй бұрын
@Psychotyzm absolutely didn't take it as criticism, a comment like yours is very useful to me. Most of the time I need to guess at my audience as I get very little feedback from folks. Thanks!
