Please do not use WD40 to clean bike chain, it will remove the O ring lube permanently and the life of the chain will reduce drastically. Please don't share false information without checking.

Absolutely true, after using wd40, after 1 day you need to add lubricant, else you will see rusting in places you didn't know exist. Remember it is for cleaning, meaning removing existing lubricants which has become old and collected dust
