10 Carnival Cruises: My Personal Ranking and Must-Try Ships

Hi Tim, thanks for the insightful feedback on your cruise experience! Yeah, we went cruising the first time in 2007 and were hooked ever since. We have done Princess, Carnival, Royal and Disney. The last 3 have been Royal more due to our location. But, love the bigger ships as well! Props to you for the energy it must take to bring your son, but I've heard Parents just have a hidden gear that the rest of us don't have when it comes to mustering the extra energy! Oh, and the lighting looked really good! I was thinking of that even before you brought up the lighting early on.

Thanks Adam! I worked hard on that one. I never thought I would ever do a "Talking Head" video but now that I understand the basics of lighting for that type of scene, I'll probably do more or at least incorporate it into my other content. Regarding cruising as a parent, I don't see how others do it with multiple kids. When my son and I go, it's like hanging out with a friend so it's awesome. If you ever go on a cruise out of the States, let me know! It would be cool to collab on some cruise content!

You will love Royal especially an Oasis class ship. We've only done one on Symphony but we want to go back! Great video 😊

Thanks! I know I will love the Oasis class! Hopefully there will be some deals to catch with Royal soon but Carnival keeps offering these deals I can't turn down. Plus, I'm 13 days away from Platinum and when that happens I might go on a Transatlantic bucket list cruise. But, I'm definitely overdue to try them out!

Wow! Thanks for the shoutout! The shot looks GREAT not just good! I love your colors, they blend very well! I took my first cruise last year and was blown away! I thought a cruise was just a big boat with a bunch of tired hungry people on it.. but I was wrong! We went on the Royal Carribean Harmony of the Seas! We have another one scheduled for this December and I will say I'm excited! Great content! Keep up the great work! 👍🏾

We’re getting in the Sunshine before it leaves Charleston (where we currently live). My husband is eager to get on the Mardi Gras and a Royal Mega ship. I feel like he’ll feel the same as you towards the Mardi Gras.

Convenience is huge. I know people who fly to Miami to get on a 4-day cruise. I know the cruises are less expensive out of Miami but not enough to cover the cost of the flight. On top of the cost, you have to deal with luggage requirements, transportation to and from the airport, possibility of cancellations and delays...it's just not worth it to me when I can drive in a day to Orlando, stay in a hotel for 1-night and just go. Charleston is the only port close enough to us to drive down the day of, and that made it SUPER convenient. I personally think they're missing a big opportunity to not build up their port to host more ships because it seems like the cruise industry is expanding rapidly.
