For me is so funny that I bought it cheaper then a A8. The difference is big, from the insulation to the material quality inside. The fact that it was hand build in Germany is apparent in all kinds of small, nice details all over the car.

GS300. That one is reliable. The hybrid is not, no matter what internet "experts" tell you. A battery change will murder your wallet on the 450h. Additionally, the 300 is lighter, nicer to drive, and you dont have to deal with the engine noise randomly popping up any now and then. Steer clear of the 450h. That only made sense new.

Before I started watching the video I knew you would include the 300C... That thing is fairly cheap in almost every country in terms of price but definitely not cheap in terms of service cost. That car is pretty much the pinnacle choice of cheap luxury sedans at this time lol Also speaking of poor man's Bentley... In here there are many people who litterally use conversion kits to make it somewhat look like a Bentley which I think is a shame... Having sampled most luxury cars including the 7 series BMW of the last ten years , despite service history and condition, they all go wrong electricaly and with technology moving so fast, their is no user freindly parts in any cars built today and older cars means nobody carries the equipment to diagnose older models . So my solution was to go to Japan and import ultra low mileage Jaguar xj6 and 12 series 3 (the proper Jag) That way I get the worlds best car ever in virtualy as new condition with just over delivery mileage . You cant go wrong ! No digital electrical gremlins , only analogue cheap to fix and reliable . Imagine a series 3 V12 Daimler sovereign with just 15k on the clock everything as new ! Now thats luxury .

you forgot the a8 is the only one in a good grade of aluminium that never corrodes. also the early d3 dont have timing chain but a more easily services timing belt and port injection . Mines at 340 000 miles (546 000km). Swapping the air suspension to coil-over ruins the car. Much simpler to fix.

A huge risk buying a car over 10 years old that's the time when a lot of part's need replacing. Rust starts to bed in . I would never spent that kind of money on something that old. The car's could have had a hard life aswell with multiple owners. Audi and jaguar parts are highly expensive. Classic cars that have been looked after that's a different story though.

Or value for money considering the likes of a cayenne turbo where what 50k new and one with a sketcy service history can be had for 4.5k it is alot of car for the cash.
