I remember one year we didn't have slot of money for Christmas. My kids got pillowcases (princess and Star wars) popcorn buckets with characters on them , Christmas mugs with hot chocolate. And then things they needed in their stockings. To this day my son (now 23) still remembers that Christmas and how he enjoyed it. ❤ Keep up with the simplicity. Great video!

This is for the critics. This mom is raising children to be resourceful, grateful, and non- materialistic. The money she saved will probably help her childrens future college. What a smart, strong, fun, loving mom. I applaude you! Well done! Keep up the good work.

We saved bread ties. Trucks were easily hauling trailers/wagons with them. Also playing with dry pasta. I would find the dry pasta everywhere 😊

We sometimes had a homemade Christmas, during lean times. I appreciated them more, because I know the gifts came from the heart.❤

When my oldest outgrew her toys. I saved the best ones and put them in the attic. I told my husband we were specifically going to save them for the next child for Christmas. When her little brother came along. I pulled those toys out of the attic, wrapped them up and put them under the tree for Christmas. We did that for his 1st 3 Christmas. She never caught on and he didn’t know the difference. Saved us so much money. They are 3 years apart. So she had long forgotten and outgrown the toys by the time he got them.

This is great!! I spent very little this year also and I was so pleased. Christmas is about Jesus being born and family. Not about expensive gifts! My children don't even know what it's life to get the amount of gifts that Angel Tree recipients get. I love to see a practical and fun gifting video. Thank you for sharing!!

This is incredible. Sure wish the individuals complaining about their angel tree donated gifts would watch this and humble themselves. You were able to creatively make Christmas for less than some people spend on a coffee 👏

Sorry but I just cannot with this mess! You bought your kids DT office supplies!! Where is the Christmas magic? These are the saddest gifts ever. You don’t get a tiny paw patrol toy for Christmas, you should get the whole tower! Kids getting crap so their parents can make videos for money!

You are going to give a toddler rubber bands, binder clips, and real screw driver to play with. I have to wonder if this is another channel attempting to pull at the heartstrings of others. Will you be getting a PO Box soon.

Wow. It's sad, but yes, I see what you're trying to do, but it's just sad.

Why not take the $10 and buy each kid a nicer gift? Office supplies? For real?

The toys & books are wonderful but I got a little nervous when I saw the screwdrivers. TFS

@@mrmwallace730 Yes. The screwdrivers will definitely be a supervised activity. Lol
