Frosty Returns actually came out in 1992 when I was seven years old.

#1 The Christmas Toy must have inspired Toy Story where Woody gets all cranked about Buzz Lightyear.

Love this list, especially The Christmas Toy recognition. I actually liked Frosty Returns more than the original, but I have to agree with a previous commenter; I think you are about ten years off on the date.

It's Garfield, actually. The Garfield Christmas Special was the first Garfield cartoon I ever watched as a kid. Plus Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July actually came out in 1979, not 1980. And Frosty Returns was released in 1992, not 1982.

Got almost everything right, except for The Cabbage Patch Kids special. Cabbage Patch was a short-lived craze. And only girls really cared about it. The animated special wasn't even on the radar back in the day. The Garbage Pail Kids movie got more attention than the Cabbage Patch special. It was more about the Rankin Bass specials than anything else. Those were the yearly classics that everyone truly loved. Garfield, Smurfs, He-man etc was just a bonus.

Gargamel didn't cast any spells, that was by an evil wizard simply called the Christmas Stranger.

When you were talking about Bells of Fraggle Rock, you didn't show any footage from the actual special. It was actually footage from the first season of Fraggle Rock. I don't know why you didn't show the actual special. It's readily available on multiple formats.
