So sad that you're span of attention has gotten so short that you cannot appreciate true art. And these are not just "classics," they have been raised to their artistic merit by intelligent views and critics over many decades. I hope you don't have a list of boring things for your generation, such as reading books, conversation, great meals...

It used to be you could go to the theater and watch a movie build and emerge you into a whole new world with a slow building story line. But now that's considered boring.

It’s just an opinion, and I’m not a fan of most of the movies on this list that I’ve seen, but I would always urge other people to see them for themselves and be their own judge because just because I don’t like them doesn’t mean they won’t and all of these films are regarded as Classics.

@@tommoore4128 Yes, it's 'just an opinion'. A lazy, perhaps dishonest one. These films are so diverse: wildly different tones, and kinds of story. It takes a special kind of self-confidence to stamp all of them 'boring'.

Citizen Kane brilliantly reveals, to viewers only, what "Rosebud" meant. It's significance is powerful. 2001: A Space Odyssey was way ahead of its time and dealt with the rise and possible dangers of technology. I can go on but this video really comes down to attention span.

I was a child when I first watched Birth of a Nation. Even then, I found myself uncomfortable and, yes, bored. It's actually a pretty good list. Technical brilliance wrapped in a less than riveting bow. Although not a classic, I've always chuckled at those who loved Eraserhead. A film that's now revered in its mind-numbing pretentiousness. At least Gone With the Wind wasn't pretentious...just dull.

My pick: The Godfather, Part I. Felt asleep on first attempt. Got drifted onto my phone then left to play as background noise on second attempt. Yet, somehow, I was deeply captivated with Part II despite it being longer. Also, agreed with the English Patient, such a drag. Deeply disagreed with 2001 and Citizen Kane. The former can be too slow of a burn but couldn't take my eyes off it and the latter is literally a cinematic masterpiece of all time (saying this as a Gen Z). The rest I haven't seen so I don't have any opinion on.

What’s next on that list of films; numbers 11 to ? Rear Window(some guy with a broken leg trapped in his apartment watches his neighbors all day and night. How much more boring can that get), Rashomon (how many times do we have to see the same event), Playtime (2 plus hours of a guy in a raincoat and pipe bumbling through Paris with no dialogue), or how about 8½, Ivan’s Childhood, or anything by Mizoguchi or Ozu? Yes, I’d rather watch Warhol’s Empire (8h and 5m of a single shot of the Empire State Building) than any of the films I mentioned plus the original ten films.

I love anything having to do with space, but this was just boring beyond belief. I myself am trying to watch classics and found a couple more that belong on this list: "The Deer Hunter" & "Eraserhead" Those movies bored me to tears as well. I was looking forward to those and was brutally disappointed by how dull they were. There are good classics out there, but some are incredibly boring. Let's not pretend there are not,

your list is of films that are boring to different generations for multiple reasons. Gen Z and millennials, with shorter attention spans thanks to video games and social media, would find most films made before Stars Wars or any film in black & white to be boring. I still find Citizen Kane and 2001 to be interesting but on a different level than popular entertainment. As for the rest of your list, these films are boring to me because I am not that interested in the subject matter in the first place or I find them personally deeply offensive. Having said that, even the most exciting films are boring to me after too many repeated viewings.
