I think it can look pretty obvious and fake when done poorly. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but it often has a harsh/obvious line. I think if it was applied lightly and blended out enough, it could look good.

lol I do square lines all the time cuz I just don't look nice and the make me look bald at the front of my eyebrows (lol probably just me!) but, my friends and the girls at my school love my brows and are constantly jealous and I'm like why? u guys have perfect brows and its apparently cuz mine are done perfectly and are natural at the same time! so, what I'm tryna say is that it still looks natural to do how we do it!

yeah some of her tips dont really apply to me. she said have your color a couple shades lighter than your actual color, but my eyebrows are blonde, so anything lighter would be white. I just go a few shades darker. Also she said not to square them off, i think a lot of people i see in person look weird when they fade their eyebrows, it just doesnt look right to me. it just depends what kind of face you have and how intense your natural eyebrows are. But I square them off and theyre literally one of the top things people have complimented me on.

for you the "right way" is the natural way but there are many out there who prefer dark/highly arched/boxy eyebrows and I don't feel like there should be "mistakes" in doing makeup. Makeup is basically another form of art, just on the face, and in art there's no wrong or right. just what I feel...

Couldn’t agree more. Those would only be “mistakes” if you like your brows to look soft and natural, and frankly I prefer mine defined (they are thick, dark and arched and I prefer them that way).

choosing the right shade is a struggle. what i do ( eventhough it makes me look like angry) is I stick with black to be safe. Not a sharpie black.

I have black hair and I've found that blonde shades works best on me. My brow pomade, powder and mascara are all in blonde shades. If you need to darken the tails of your brows, use a grey pencil.

DON'T TRIM YOUR EYEBROWS!!! everyone is doing it right now and I can only warn you that this will make the hairs more wiry and unruly as time progresses. My dad used to do it all the time in the 70's-80's, ignoring the advice from my aunt (a successful French makeup artist) and now his individual brow hairs are so SO thick and dart in all directions. I don't understand why everyone must have these super manicured brows, it will only end like the overplucked trend did. VERY VERY BADLY!

Some of these depend on the wearer, surely. I look terrible with squared off brows and the faded more natural look definitely works better for me, but if done well (which is a big but as many are way too bold) the squared off look isn't bad.

I can't do faded brows, lol. My eyebrows are like really dark so I just kinda fill in some spots and that's how I do them. I know some girls that actually shave that part of her brows to do the fade but sincerely I don't think that way makes them look natural.

Do you have any tips on how to make brows look good if one is naturally shoter than the other, and not at the end but at the beginning, the part that's close to the nose? My left eyebrow starts further away from my nose than my right and it's also a bit higher up and i just cant seem to get them to look good. My face always look so askew...

Ok I agree with pretty much everything, and all in all you have some wicked tips. But, I am going to have to disagree with putting a frosty color on the arch. I think every once in a while it has ma fierce, fun look and putting a more nude color is pretty too, but it is just a more natural look. I think it just depends on what the person's style is. Also some people's natural shaped brows go downwards, so sometimes they fill in the way that their brows are naturally formed, which they cannot help.
