Somebody tried stealing my integra probably my 6th month owning it. So got a viper alarm, detachable steering wheel and hooked up a kill switch. Lol problem solved 😊👌🏻 good luck thieves. All in all though I do agree with most of the common integra problems you mentioned. Another I would've added would be headlight visibility during the night lol but yeah. Like the vids dude and for the trunk problem I had the same issue and appearently with most older acuras it's the actuator that fails concerning the trunk not wanting to open with just the switch. Replaced the actuator which is just acouple of bolts and two locking pin rods and fixed :) no more key needed for the trunk

Gdupp 1213 Cake. You can put one under the hood at the starter and I have one under the driver seat for the fuel pump. I use the one under the hood when I'm going to be away for a while.

Your trunk doesn't open on its own weight because of the weight huge spoiler. The door handles is 30 bucks to fix. It shouldn't be too noisy unless mods were made to the car. I'm sorry but you're nitpicking the weirdest stuff.

You are accurate with the integra problems. I’m the original owner of my 2000 Integra LS and every single problem you named I’ve experienced ALL of them previous or as we speak. THEFT as well. Been stolen twice and broken into 3-4 times. My original rims as well and she was left on blocks :( I’m afraid to fix her up and then some jerk steals it.

Owned a DC2 Type-R with 150ks on it, never seen these issues. But owned and driven in Japan only, rust is only an issue where there's salt on the roads, so not Japan or New Zealand

As for leaking engine seals, I've never had issue one with my Honda/Acuras. Perhaps the previous owners of your cars have abused them. Honda is noted for engine reliability and design, not leaky motors. The noisy interiors is something I've experienced. It seems to have started as a weight saving measure, but I've also found that 1990's - 2000's tend to let in a lot of road and tire noise.

ive had my integra for 5yrs the only thing i can agree on is the damn cup holders they are small and right infront of your radio and when i shift to first i always punch my drink and it presses the power button for the radio turning it off it sucks good for small cans but if you want an arizona green tea forget it it wont fit!!!!

I have a starter kill,ignition kill and fuel kill. All activated at once. Plus a tire boot. They have to work really hard to get my teggy, tow truck maybe but have to break all the wheel locks , then a spare tire. Plus a police siren going off with flashing strobes and motion sensor, I went all out on my alarm installation with a second battery if they disconnected the main battery, where I live Honda’s get stollen all the time , working for an installation shop , I thought of everything a car thief would think of. Did I do an over kill. Yes. But damn it they would have to really work hard to get this one!

Engine Oil leaks are just from lack of maintenance, Just need to replace oil seals. Also old engine oil can damage oil seals as well.

I have a 1992 Honda Integra LS. LS for people who may not know, stands for Luxury Sport. Apparently cup holders are too much of a luxury however because my Integra doesn't have cup holders. It has electric windows, central locking, electric sunroof, but no cup holders. Also being a 25 year old car in the roughly 9 - 10 months I've owned it, I've rebuilt the starter motor, new radiator as the old one had a crack in the tank, the power steering is leaking and needs a new seal, the exhaust has a hole somewhere so I'm planning on replacing the whole system. It needs a new clutch soon, immediately after I bought the car it needed a new timing belt, the aircon has a leak, had to put a new head unit in the car because each time I started the car it blasted the radio at me no matter what I did other than disconnecting it. Technically not major problems I guess but it's the joys of owning an old car. Just need to install some fucking cup holders. Edit: just thought I'd mention another problem I've run into. When it's bucketing down rain the windshield wipers aren't fast enough and I can't see shit. I don't know how I made it home alive seeing as I was on the highway doing 100 - 110 kph and I didn't exactly have anywhere to pull over at the time.

Thanks, I am thinking about buying one so this really helps. Dang those Honda thieves. My son's Civic was stolen from the driveway while we slept. It was broken. Either they worked on it,got lucky and it started or they towed it off. They fixed it and the cops caught them sitting in the donut shop at 2:00 a.m. and we got it back. Sold it to his friend and it got stolen from him. This time he got it back blown up. At least they never stripped it for parts. They love them too much. Honda is the only car culture that eats it's own. Kids stole a broke Honda while it sat next to a running AE86.

i know this is really late, but if anyone is having issues with the windows fogging up make sure behind your door cards you have the factory plastic piece that covers the whole inside of the door, helps with the windows fogging up

I really hope no one tries to Jack my car because when I'm driving people will literally turn their heads to look at it. Only protection i have against is a anti theft lock steering wheel 😂 it locks to the clutch and then to the handle. I don't know if it increases it chances but mine is lowered, 18 in tail pipe, infinity stero subwoofer, tinted black windows, new suspension with racing suspension in the back trunk.

A big thing that happened to me is having an OBD2 year integra and the engine replaced with an OBD1. Living in california this is a huge problem. Remember if its after 93 I think make sure that the engine cover isnt smooth but rather has raised strips on it (this is for LS and GS models

On my ‘94 integra it’s a four door, one of the rear doors just doesn’t open at all, from the outside or the inside and it’s now scratching the window. The weather strip on my window was cut off and I went through the car wash and what do ya know, water and soap began leaking through. my integra was also stolen before and suck a screwdriver to start it up so now when I drive my key ALWAYS falls out.

hey milton fyi the reason your bumper sags is on the left and right side of the rear bumper there two pieces of metal that sandwich the bumber in place u have to bet a jack and a piece of 2x4 n push it up again i had the same prob on my 2000 si.

I agree.. theft is the #1. My sister gave me a gs-r that was stripped. Everything got stolen, leather seats, panels, rims etc. Got it back from the the insurance and rebuilt it piece by piece. The thief didnt touch the engine-/tranny. It was itr swapped too. Love the car but you're right about your facts. There's a love and hate relationship with this car. Used to own civics/accord and in my opinion, integra is lot more fun to drive and different.

I’ve owned Integras from 2nd gen and RSX but never owned a 3rd gen Integra. K Series engines were built better because of some of these engine problems. #1 most stolen vehicle back in its days.

Had one for over 15 years and never had any of these issues. (I removed my fender lining maybe that's what saved my rear quarter panels from rust but yea that's common I'll give you that one) Yours was probably just treated terrible by previous owner. Just spend the money to get shit fixed that you cant do yourself. Stop with the zip ties, get a body shop to fix your rear bumper permanently for you. Either way, they are awesome little cars. DO A Top 10 things you LOVE about your integra and She may treat you a lil better after doing that 😂

Pleeease tell me how to fix the door handle so that there’s not much resistance. My problem isn’t that the door sticks, it’s that the door handle has a lot of resistance when I lift it. So I broke it but my passenger side is super easy to lift with no resistance. So I’m wondering what the difference is and I don’t know if a new door handle will fix it because it may still have that resistance, so I’ll just break the new one too. I wonder if it’s the opening mechanism on the very inside of the door where you have to reach into the metal. Insight on how to make this more smooth!!?! Maybe as easy as lubricating it, or maybe realigning? Insight, pleease!!

Next time in your video explain how to solve all of those issues. It's very easy. If I wasn't swamped at work I would do a video and send it to you covering all this. Mine is 99 with b20z2 and mods all the way around. Any oil leaks are locatable with uv die instantaneously. Then just don't believe any qoates for the fix and go buy the part and 'stay dirty'.. Just saying you should state the fixes as well

Use a good glass cleaner with a clean uncontaminated cloth. And put your air ventilation to fresh air and not recirculated because it’ll get humid inside causing the windows to fog. Great video too!

The oil seals go bad and leak if you don't change the oil regularly when its due, either way the valve cover and oil pan gaskets are cheap and easy to replace. As for the sticking door handles you jcan remove them easily and spray it with silicone lubricant.

The most common problem with higher milage integras is the main relay going bad - ( if you park at Tim Hortons and buy a coffee and come out but the car cranks but doesn't start then it's main relay. ) Solution to tap it and it should start, but I suspect bad relays can eventually burn out the distributor .

Don't forget the oil leaks, the oil consumption, bad bushings, and rust. I didn't think my car had any rust, and then I redid my suspension. every bolt had to be cut out. Also have to be really careful because oil consumption is very common in Honda's and especially in the VTEC models. You might buy a car that needs to have a engine rebuilt. Also they're one of the easiest cars to steal, so you better take some anti theft steps. kill switch, hood cable relocation, alarm, keyless entry..

Valve cover leaks are caused by people just replacing the gasket and not putting the liquid gasket in the corner recesses. Have done 220k miles on a dc2 type r and never had an oil leak.

Jdm gsr swap 250k miles on the chassis..... cup holders didn't think we're to bad I had AC was awesome 2.......never had bumper sag no leakage...... so far no rust from the hatch....hatch works fine..... good thing if any of my seals start leaking the whole kit for everything is pretty cheap an even a child could pull an replace all the seals on a Honda 👍👍

I do hate that my teggy gs 2000 doesn't have a switch to open the trunk but it could also be a good thing, a few months ago before Christmas I had someone broken into my baby and nothing was stolen from the trunk I guess the idjets had no idea you can actually bend the seats xD. And my question is why did you really traded your teggy for an older model?? Was it really because of the oil leak? The door handle thing happened to me. You have to get a door handle from a 1993 (I think it was) and take the handle apart. The top part is the same as an integra. I fixed my door for maybe $30 or so

Can't have some of these issues in a sedan doe 😉 that being said yea door handle replace the not hard just tedious since whole door panel has to come out and different extensions etc have to be used. Don't forget replacing key barrel as well.

The bolts that are in the hatch area that hold up the bumper... loosen them then pull up on them then retighten them. The rear bumper gap should be closed if done correctly. 👍👍

Personally I made the holes slightly bigger in order to have more pull up space.

+RR S2dio all the bolts in the support are missing so thats why its so saggy... ill see what i can do as far as zip ties.

It's a street sports car, ofc it's noise. That's why I'm building a racecar from it and not from my e34 525. :D Rust is very true, the bumper haven't happened to me. The leaks, ofc you have to fix them on any car. Not that hard, main seal, oilpan, valve cover, cam end seal?, distributor, something I left off but it's not that bad. On mine everything leaks but the Coolant, so I'll just fix everything. The trunk is very annoying but I'll figure something. At least it has those flimsy cup holders, some cars doesn't even have any. I'm afraid someone is going to steal it, but I have killswitch and steering lock, thinking to get pedal locks and some pop off steering wheel.

On the fogging windows issue, check to see if your climate control system is set to recirculate, the icon with the curved arrow inside the car. That's a prime culprit because the humid air you breathe gets worse the more it's circulated, hence the fogging. I've seen people drive around for years and never realize this. You see them on humid, rainy days driving around like the three blind mice. Make sure it's set so that the air is coming in from the outside. Also, while you may not have AC, I'm betting that the defroster is still using a compressor, which produces drier air and no fogging, just like an AC unit.
