Currently in my second term as a freshman in Benilde, learned a lot na actually. I remember being overwhelmed with the subjects I had on my first week as a frosh cause I really had no past experiences with anything related to art as a HUMSS student. Now enjoying my life as a student in Benilde, however, not gonna lie, still nervous with the upcoming years and upcoming subjects i’m gonna take. Will not easily give up though! 😁

im a mma college student 2nd yr na, i agree with all what you said, may visual art o "drawing" sa multimedia pero di yun yung main focus ng course, it's actually versatile, may photography, poster/logo/cover/web design -etc. even journalism and study of theories meron kami, tuturuan lang kayo ng fundamentals in different medium of design, and from there, you can work your skill way up sa kung ano gusto mong experty sa mga yan. thank you for this vid ica, i always listen to you so i can have a glimpse of my future after i graduate, love ya 💕

Thank you po sa vids nyo😊 Originally arki po sana since wala sa malapit samin so nag eng ako...hays kaso di ko talaga na eenjoy. Kaya lang naman po arki kasi sabi nag d drawing ako...ewan ko po siguro toxic filipino mindset na drawing tas arki agad kaya ayun naturally yun lang alam ko and di ako nag explore ng ibang courses, until I found MMA. At ako naman pangatlong sem ko na sa architecture, i don't think i can keep pursuing this okay naman ako nung una pero ngayon i feel nothing parang gumagawa nalang ako para may maipasa i got interested lang naman because i love art and architecture is a form of art that's why nag arki i was a IT student before i got into architecture , i didn't know na may ganto rin palang course it kinda makes me happy kasi i love arts, animation, photography at andito pala ung mga un sa mma. Pero asa choices ko padin ang nursing at bshm kung magiging practical ako. Thank you for this vid makes me clear my mind a little

is it okay, if all experiences i had was just me doing graphic designs for funsies like, for fan edits, or books covers, and i do things such as editing, ive learned how to do them myself and i use softwares like photoshop and svp & ae, and plus i dont know how to draw that well too.

Yes, it's fine! A lot of my batchmates were not well-versed with drawing. You've got subjects related to that. You just need to practice and give your best. For the rest of the software applications, they will teach you from scratch, so you don't have to worry. I think you already have the basic knowledge since you do edits. It's more of improving your skill and creativity. 😁

Tinuturo din po ba ang VFX sa MAA?? specifically for movies po na VFX, mahirap po kasi maghanap ng course dito sa pilipinas na related dito. Pero para sakin halos lahat ng interests and passion ko nasa MAA. Ano po bang mga universities dito sa pinas ang nagooffer ng MAA?

Thank you sa mga advice huhu kakatapos lang kumuha ng scholarship exam and kabado kasi baka mababa lang ang makuha ko hindi kasi talaga kaya ng budget ang tuition ayaw ko naman ng ibang course kasi ayokong makatapos ng college para lang magkaron ng degree yung hilig ko talga is paggawa ng film na e enjoy ko din yung motion graphics kahit na hindi ako artistic na tao, btw ate Ica ask lang po sa current work nyo po ngayon need po ba na college graduate? even na may skills ka namn sa editing? ksai nagbabalak po akong mag stop kapag d na talga kaya ng parents ko yung tuition eh yun lang po wala talga po talga akong doubts sa MMA pero ung budget lang talaga ang problema.

Hello! Tinitingnan pa rin yung educational background kasama yung portfolio mo. Pwede ka mag try ng short courses or 2 year degree courses sa design. Meron and ACLC College and TESDA para doon. Tapos gandahan mo yung portfolio mo para makuha ng companies. 😁

1st year BSCPE, nagsisisi ako kase di ko naman talaga gusto engineering, mahilig lang ako sa computer, eh ang unang pumasok sa isip ko magpayaman, ngayong college na ko, narealize ko na di pala pwede na pera lang iisipin ko kase sobrang nakakatamad pag di mo gusto yung course mo. Sobrang hilig ko sa photography, kaso di ko naisip na pasukin and multi media

2 years ago when the pandemic strikes the world, napag isipan ko na di na lang talaga ako magtutuloy ng studies ko especially the first course na inaral ko is di ko talaga gusto (Information Technology) But then nakita ko sa website ng school namin na meron nang inooffer na Multimedia Arts (which is my dream course) but for now I'm hesitant since I'm the current breadwinner of the family and I'm not sure if kaya ko ipagsabay yung studies and work if ever na babalik ako sa pag aaral. +Ang mahal pa ng tuition sa school ko which sucks, I'm not even sure if I'm qualified sa inooffer nilang financial assistance or if they're still offering that. Pero yun nga pinakaworry ko is pagsabayin ang work and studies since I suck at time managment. (Sorry sa mahabang comment)

May perfect timing naman para sa lahat. And try lang sa financial assistance or scholarships baka naman qualified at sayang kung hindi makuha. Ang time management naman napag-aaralan. Mahirap lang sa simula talaga. And about the course, baka gusto mo mag try ng short courses related sa design para magkaroon ka ng certificate. At least makakuha ng work related dun sa field na yun. :)

Kaya mo yan! Ako din hindi ako magaling mag drawing until now kahit nag-graduate na ako ng MMA 😂 It's just one of the many subjects we have to take since multimedia arts, pero pwedeng hindi naman i-pursue after. Practice and give your best lang 😁

Yung first year college ko pinag pipiliaan ko talaga BS-EMC Digital Animation Or MMA but i choose BS-EMC pero hindi ko siya nagustuhan dahil sa professor and school hindi ako natututo tas may may subject talaga na di ko gusto (LIKE PROGRAMMING na pang I.T na as in ;-;) also yung tuition shet halos 45k na pero online class lang yon pano pa kaya kung F2F na, kaya nagbabalak ako lumipat ng school para i-take yung MMA since halos similar lang sila pero walang programming nakagaya talaga sa mga I.T course as in at focus sa mga arts/graphic rather sa BS-EMC. So far this video really help me na i-push kona yung mma since first year palang naman natapos ko pwede pa maging irreg at itake yung ibang sub for summer para maging regular na. Also ask ko lang po if may digital drawing sa MMA? Ty sa response.

Hello! Mabuti naman na nakatulong yung video :) In Benilde, MMA is more on graphic design than digital drawing. Animation maraming digital drawing and character animation pero hindi siya as broad ng MMA in terms of subjects/classes. Iba iba din yung focus ng MMA per university so baka you can check the course outline and compare different schools :)

I had doubts before watching this video kase hinde po talaga ito yung gusto ko na course, BS EMC(entertainment and multimedia computing) talaga sana. but the college that I enrolled in said they removed it kase wla daw nag enroll na students last year (they said this right after I enrolled and processed everything) I felt so distraught. and there are no other colleges that offers EMC in my city so I picked the closest option which is MMA. I've been feeling nervous these past few days kase freshman po ako and I doubted if makahanap ba ako ng trabaho after I graduated and if I learned something. ano po mabibigay nyu na tips po kase klase ko na po in 5 days

Thank you for sharing your story! Some tips: - Stay curious. Your professors will be there to guide you but it depends on how you respond to the lessons and projects. Take the time to explore and practice on your own. - Don't compare but collaborate. Yung blockmates and friends mo sa college, hindi yan ka-competition. Focus on growing and improving together, helping each other out. - Embrace feedback and failures. Always look at the good side of criticisms and failures - growth and development. - Don't forget to enjoy :) College is crucial para makakuha ng trabaho, but don't pressure yourself too much. It all depends on the course curriculum and prof. We had drawing classes but our prof didn't include that. The other class tho were taught human anatomy. I guess it really depends on the profession and direction of the prof.

I don't think merong course na for graphic design. Siguro short classes lang pero kung 4 year course, madalas na part lang siya ng curriculum. Baka meron ka pang ibang hilig aside from graphic design para makahanap ka ng course na fit para sayo. :)

Siguro ang gusto ko is ung mas broad ung study about arts so what should i take? MMA or Fine arts?

You can go for Fine Arts so that you can focus on traditional art and its techniques. At the same time you can extend your skills set to digital art. In terms of prior knowledge, ok lang kahit walang background on digital design. Tuturuan naman kayo, basta open ka to learn. 😊

Entrance exam for the university lang. You only need the portfolio if mag apply for scholarship :)

Hi! It's a bit hard to find a course that only focuses on illustration. The closest I know is Animation - you'll be drawing characters/figures and creating storylines here. But you'll be taking up motion graphics and animating your illustrations as well. After that, you might want to take up certificate/specialized course in Manga Art. There are a lot online. :) REPLY

Ano po electronics na needed? Kaya po ng 256gb ipad pro makasurvive for all the schoolworks up to atleast 2nd year or needed po talaga ng computer/laptop? I also can't decide if ok ang apple or windows talaga needed..

It depends kung anong subjects especially for 2nd year. Baka lang hindi available yung ibang software na gagamitin sa iPad such as 3D software, Adobe Premiere etc. 256GB might be small for compiled projects so prepare for hard drive para ma-back-up yung ibang files. Kung apple or windows, most people and companies use mac for design. But it all boils down to getting things done. So check natin specs ng laptop - Processor, Graphics Card, RAM, and storage. 😊
