medyo nakakawala ng confidence kung pipiliin ko ang MMA after senior high that my parents are still lost na may advanced technology na tayo na gawing business ang creativity natin, for me kaya ko pipiliin ang MMA dahil sa photography, marketing especially digital arts. Parang nakakaiyak na akala nila kung Archi, Engnr, Medtech mga ganun ay magiging succeful kana, My tita's advice is I can't make a living if I am gonna choose my Passion than what my Parents want, and tita said "maganda sa parinig na tinatawag kang Engineer ganern", I dont want to think what people want and I wanna think what I want because I want to write my Own chapter and get out of a toxic household. There are many ways to be succesful, I dont really need to be rich, I Just want to stay in the Middle Class enjoying my time and life.

brotha, 10 yrs ago, few people believed in me when i took my path on the creative field, maliit ang sweldo, mataas ang kumpetisyon and higit sa lahat mahirap umasenso, but for me, graphic design is my dream job, unang chance na mahire ako as a graphic designer grinab ko agad, even if the pay is only minimum, but because i know i will enjoy doing this job everyday. Ive learned alot from my experience and now i earn more than what engineers, architects and nurses sa pinas. I like what you said, "WRITE MY OWN CHAPTER" . Just believe in yourself and dont let anyone dictate the path you will choose instead CREATE your own :)

same experience. my parents used to force me to take medtech since when i was in grade school. kasi sabi nila is magiging powerful ka or like makakapagtayo ako ng bahay if naging doctor ako. pero nung nalaman nila yung cons of taking medtech. pinili nila decision ko. they also saw from my neighbors that took MMA or IT as their course got their own parents a house and car. im rlly happy talaga nung pinayagan nila ako na magtake ng MMA instead of medtech.

It's really tough when you are raised in a household where your parents only expect you to become a "bragging right" for them, asking you to accomplish stuff that will make **them** look good. What they don't understand that even "stable" careers or courses are as fragile as any other. It's the people who want to pursue what they want that thrive, success depends on the person themselves. And I wholeheartedly agree with you that sometimes it's enough to be able to pay the bills and have some time to do your hobbies.

ate balak kong magMMA after ko grumaduate bilang IT, and yes graduating na ako ngayon. kung magtake ako ng MMA, worth it ba? like sabi mo nagtake din kayo ng programming and game development, which is not my thing nung nasa IT pa ako (that's why I'm taking MMA) and another thing is, una pa lang MMA na talaga gusto kong kunin, kaso hindi kinaya ng budget at walang available na course dito malapit sa probinsya namin. yun lang tanong ko ate, worth it ba magMMA ako? thanks

May digital din po ba sa fine arts? what should I take po if I only like designing like clothes or logos like sketching, and animation?

Yes meron. Pwede ka for both MMA and Fine arts. Sa multimedia arts kapag kumuha ng elective, choose animation para mas focused sa gusto mo. Pero kapag fine arts, make sure na Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. Kasi may fine arts na iba yung focus like photography, advertising, film, etc.

Can I ask po, naco-confuse po kasi ako kung mag MMA po ba ako or Communication Arts. Gusto ko po kasi talaga maging part ng media production, mga video editing po ganun. Okay po ba na mag MMA or Comm Arts? Thank you po

What I know is that Comm Arts focuses on different media platforms and communications itself (broadcasting, radio, tv, print, film, research, journalism). MMA is more on the creative side of media. If media production and editing, I think mas fit ang MMA, more on execution kasi yun.

Based on your liking for graphic design, suggest ko BFA. If interested ka rin sa advertising (concept, strategy, marketing), go for that course. I think graphic design and advertising go hand in hand. Pero kung execution talaga ang gusto mong focus, sa multimedia arts ka. Sa MMA, hindi lang graphic design - lahat talaga pag-aaralan. Don't worry if di ka marunong mag drawing, basta willing ka matuto. Your professors will guide you. Basta make sure muna kung anong career goal sa design so that it's easier for you to choose the right course :)

This is what I want before but I don't have money and im not that talented before. Now I grad different course and still I am still feel lost. I got different job and my hobby in video editing and taking pics making logo is still makes me interested. now i am in a job that im not being producting because i am not happy got challenge. I wanted to enrol again in MMA but I think it's too late. I hope there is a small courses for this.

Hi! I don't think it's ever too late to start doing what you love to do. There are a lot of short courses on design. It might not be for MMA since it's too wide to discuss for a short program. Usually short courses are more specific like video editing, graphic design, animation, advertising, etc. Universities offer short courses or certificate programs, you can always check them out. 😁

hiiii i am currently enrolled in college and i major in advertising arts. i am the same as u where i interest in graphic, photography and video editing but i really $UCK in drawing. i can only do the basics. now we were assigned our first plate and i am intimidated??? by my classmates as they are all advanced(they can do portraits alrdy😭). how did u survive ur drawing classes po????

I just practiced a lot. It took me longer to finish too because I can’t get it right. Sometimes I even redo them because they don’t look good 😅 But I just never compared my work with others. I know my limits so I also asked help from my blockmates who are good. Just keep on practicing and you’ll improve along the way. Good luck!

We didn't exactly have strands since we weren't under the k12 program. But a lot of MMA students, walang background sa arts and design pero they were able to adapt well. Kaya ok lang kahit walang knowledge talaga.

Yes, it's ok. 😊 And usually for entrance tests, it's more on knowledge not really skill that is related to your course.

Hey! I don't know of any course that focuses only on anime style drawing. The closest ones would be Fine Arts and Animation since it tackles character drawings. 😊

@@philippinebigboar625 helluuu MMA student here, we have traditional arts and digital arts classes and every week may plates kami kaya mahahasa ka talaga and magpprocastinate sa shadowing/sketching/other sketch styles/color/digi and other fundamentals ng digi arts. one thing I know for sure, mas magaling na ako magdrawing ngayon :)) hope that helps!

It depends on which school you're going to. When I was in college, we had programming classes for 3 terms. Finding a job locally or aboard, I think It really depends on the skill set you have. 😁
