Missing even ONE of these 10 Concealed Carry Commandments could very well put you in prison... or even the morgue. It's one thing to carry your handgun, but you could be in for a world of hurtin' if God forbid you have to use it, without knowing everything you need to know about concealed carry, and your firearm. In this video, I'll go over the 10 things that I thoroughly believe EVERY gun owner should do, in order to make sure that they are both protected on the streets, and in the court room after. Check this out...

I would add practice drawing your weapon, and be highly selective on where on your body you carry and what holster you use. Great video and excellent instructions.

Good advice Michael. Definitely ALL should be covered in dry-fire and it's better to figure out the best holster and best places to carry your weapon using this safe method than just taking some gun store sales person's advice. Find what works best for YOU and practice with it, eh? Thanks for the add. :-)

@@Warrior This may sound peculiar to you, but I was trained to carry cross draw. After active duty (linguist/ intelligence in Airborne Recon), I was recruited by US government as a clandestine operative. Our training was very clear, walk your way out or talk to you way out. If you absolutely have to, you can injure and temporarily debilitate officers and agents of the country in which you are operating, but you better never kill anyone! It's not like on TV! The reason we carry cross-body is because it's expected that we will be engaged in physical conflict before we would draw our concealed weapon in overseas environments. Our more experienced officers taught us that they would often have their strong arm injured in the physical altercation before they would draw their last chance weapon with their weak hand. During our training, our strong hand would be duct taped closed and we would have to our draw weapon with our weak hand. Cross-draw was our best solution.

the idea of crossdraw appeals to me, but every one counsels against it. the reasons you've presented are quite sound, given the profile of a 'non combatant' Citizen is the chosen attitude. gonna need to practice both options and see what sticks...

Good advice. Question: do I need to clean my weapon after dry fire practice? Need an answer to this question.
@Warrior

A regular wipe-down in and out is recommended as general maintenance (lint, etc.), but dry-fire is practicing without live rounds so there's no round discharge and nothing to clean. (Hmmm... "test question"? "trick question"?)

If you use a revolver...you have a round in the chamber...therefore...the same goes with a semi auto.

It doesn't matter if I print or not we are allowed to carry it either way All that said I don't try to print but if it does so be it. If everybody wore their guns outside the waistband everybody will get used to it sooner or later even the snowflakes. The Second Amendment like a muscle if you don't exercise it it'll go away.

I definitely agree with you about the printing. Really shouldn't be a concern if you're legally allowed, right? I'm not keen on open-carry though... and I don't care to help other "anti-gunners" get used to guns sooner or later. The "bad guys" are anti-gunners too - in that THEY don't want you to have a gun either. If they see it, it may have the opposite effect of deterrence and certainly gives you any element of surprise. But I get the debate. To each their own, eh Jose? Thanks for commenting. :-)
