Really useful licks here over one chord, will definitely try out! You don't often see jazz/ fusion style licks written out so clearly... what's your main influence in terms of players?

Hi Great playing. What kind of scales are you using over the backing chords or recommend over certain chords?

David Garibaldi, so I would check out his stuff because I know there are backing tracks to some of his music with Tower of Power in them, and this may be from one.

I can't seem to figure out how to play lick 9 correctly
@MrJoeyBoombotz8 жыл бұрын
+Zac Mulcahy I left out the double stop in the second beat and practiced each group of 4 16th notes slowly and joined them together. I practiced the slide and 'mini' sweep in the last 2 bars separately, which is just 2 more groups of 4 notes taking the tied notes in account, and then joined them all together. These are very exciting licks and that organ is so hot it is very distracting and the tendency is to want to rush to play them. I still don't have them up to proper speed yet but I love using them to practice my picking synchronization and hope to add more feel and speed as they become more comfortable under my fingers. I hope that helped. This lick covers less real estate than any of the others and was one of the easier ones for me.
