For the tent that goes on the roof of the car, it would be neat to have it cover over the sunroof with a zippered floor that opens,so you could drop down to safety if animals come and could heat up the tent with the car heater if it gets too cold.

all those safety warnings in cars is due to people getting hurt and killed by sun roofs at the neck and the button be pressed. cool concept, but no company will let you climb in and out a sunroof and let the gasoline engine run while sleeping.

@@duaneafields No company will let you? How would they stop you? My car will run with the sunroof open. A zipper or Velcro door would be easy to make. And the chances of my sunroof closing on me is near zero and you are in more danger driving to camp than you are the sunroof closing on you. Besides, you could put a safety brace in the window or a kill switch to the window just in case. Non issue.

Insects , Animals , Rain , Cold , Heat and even muddy trails are what makes it so darn much fun. I'll stay with my Jungle Hammock , a good rain fly ( tarp ) and the backpack. That combination lets me have solitude and go anywhere while enjoy every minute of it.

EXACTLY. Nothing like "roughing it" with the barest of minimums to make camping a sure fun and excitingly enjoyable thing. I can't understand having more than a couple of tarps,and a sleeping bag or 2,depending on how many people your camping with. It never hurts to bring an extra too. But that and some food(I can't eat fish or I'd say catch ur food. Lol) and water,some over the fire cookware,and ur set. 💜 Camping should be a simplistic and fun thing.

We've had our Lotus Belle tent for almost a decade now. The quality of the canvas is superb, and it's just as soft now as it was when we got it. It has gone through 3 gales and was the only tent left standing in a storm that flooded and/or blew every other tent down. I love being able to stand upright as soon as you get inside the door. We have added a front fly that is great for keeping you dry when you exit the tent, and we just got a colourful cover to keep bird poo and tree sap from ruining the canvas when we go on bush camping trips instead of oceanside. Is it a cool tent? Very much so.

I watched a video of a guy camping and setting up his tent. His furniture was designed for camping, and his table just unfolded from a suitcase, and snapped together, the bed was inflatable, and there was other stuff. Camping "furniture" has some really amazing stuff that's easy to set up.

My Wife and I are 61 myself and she is 57...We need a little of the home comforts at our age and with our 14500 km trip doing all of northern and western Canada next year we decided on a 26 foot fifth wheel. We know the fuel cost will be outrageous but hey it is our road trip of a lifetime. No need for the 2 story tent. The flight hammoc tent prevents wild animal attacks..?! .you just hitch it up a bit higher in the trees! Say, 12 to 15 feet should do, just dont forget when you go to pee in the middle of the night. Sleepwalkers may want to seek another option as well as those who roll alot during the night. The mesh is made of polyester, but it's not THAT strong!

I really just like the three room tent I have from many years back. It is comfortable, roomy & private! Thats all you need. I didn't see anything different about these tents except being on top of a vehicle 😳 and being in many different shapes & colors??? 😳 They also look very, very hard to put together by several peeps. When I go camping I want it to be with the bare essentials. If it wasn't for my kid I wouldn't even bring a tent, I'd just make a shelter myself. I can't stand it when people say they went camping when they are in an RV, or they have a giant tent with all the amenities! The whole point of camping is to get away from that stuff, and get back to nature. Not sitting in a house on wheels watching TV! And sleeping while camping during a little storm, oh yeah, I'll sleep like a baby! Unfortunately though, I've seen every one of these already, but they are still pretty darn cool! I just recently purchased a French G.I. tent, with a bathtub floor, and can't wait to try it out soon.

My tent is was £80 it has two rooms and a zone in the middle, it's amazing, my mum just paid £700 for her air tent, it's almost bigger than her shed, she takes a portable plug in fridge, a laptop and projector screen, an electric oven and literally just plugs it in to the car and it inflates. absolute madness, if you want luxury like that just stay in a hotel I say!
