Having to work more remote and freelance work since last year has shown me how valuable getting tools from other artist can be. Filling in gaps or just making your life easier in your work flow is where a good market can be found. Brushes, alphas, textures, meshes or even a quick tutorial can be worth a lot in the long run.

Here's one, I watch this channel a lot to get ideas for my experimental scene I'm developing in UE. I would actually love to hire a freelancer to add some stylized flair to what I have. I can't stress enough if you are an artist please publish your artwork everywhere. I have literally built projects around seeing a few pieces from a particular artist. I even keep a mental note of amazing artist because what you are working on right now might not fight that artist but when the right match comes up you already have your mental match.

The game 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' bought and uses his gun assets from the Unreal Store, so yeah, the first one is super legit, just make sure you put all the time and effort into it. In doing so, it becomes very high quality and many consumers WILL BUY IT.

You're 100% right about bigger studios that are looking to spend money on stores. The most notable one right now is Turtle Rock with Back 4 Blood. That game has made them a sizeable chunk of cash and most of the game is made up of assets from the Unreal Marketplace. Of course they have some other things, either from in-house artists or freelancers, but it does show that people are 100% willing to buy good quality products that you may be able to upload.

Hey Stylized Station! If you switch up your diet maybe the cost can go down! My food is the same price thank God. I do live in Michigan, but my diet is pretty good and about he same as pre pandemic. Brown rice, rotessory chicken, kale, butter, eggs, and oranges. Everything else I need I get to from nutrient supplements and vitamins. Maybe they cost a couple more dollars two of my favorites, but I can eat that everyday lol. Pretty sure I could eat for less than $200 a month and once I have my vitamins keep them in circulation with $50-70 a month or less. I hope this helps. It took me a while to get my diet down. I even have a water filter to cut down on bottled water and tap water doesn't make me feel good anymore now that I have been off of it for maybe 4 or 5 years. Once you have the filter replacement filter cartridges is less than $4 a month. I put the kale/ spinach in my nutribullet with two small oranges or one big one. I also like green grapes. I know I gave you tmi lol. God bless you!

One question, when you sell a asset on any platform ... how do you protect your asset from being copied and then sold on? is there any way to protect assets?
@PrafulPrasad Жыл бұрын
if by copied you mean once someone downloads your asset can they give it to someone else for free? Then yes they can and there is no way to prevent it, you cannot watermark the asset. However mathematically the chances that someone takes your asset and distributes it to a huge number of people are slim

@darkwarlock45603 жыл бұрын
The thing is, you also need to from a design point keep all the assets in the same or very similar style. One thing about bigger companies is they can afford a professional modeler that can make all assets in a game in the same aesthetic. Sound effects are one thing you can probably if you're new can just buy a box of from these stores because no one will knock you for using the same door opening sound found in fifty other games. Music scores are different, it's one of the bigger challenges to me besides scripting, graphic assets and voice acting.
